Site Update - 12/3/08

I sent another e-mail out to everyone (check your SPAM folder if you didn't get it), but thought I should probably post it for others as well:

We now over 65 classmates signed up, which is great so far. However, we seem to have hit a bit of a lag, which was expected as the Facebook and MySpace pools dried up. So we'll all have to work a little harder to get others signed up to hopefully meet and exceed our goal of 100 classmates - keep spreading the word!

Also, a little more than half of you have updated your profiles with pictures and narrative, which are really entertaining - hopefully the other half will do the same!

And I know the Message Forum leaves much to be desired. I've been in contact with the guys from Class Creator and they are hoping to improve the functionality of it sooner rather than later. In the meantime, I'll be periodically cleaning up the Message Forum to help keep us on task, so I'll probably delete some of the posts that don't really relate to the reunion or other topics of interest - although it will hurt to delete all the complimentary posts from everyone. Thanks for those and I'm glad you are enjoying the site so far!

If you want to send me or someone else a message, you can do so my clicking on their profile and then scrolling down to the bottom. Also, you can leave comment on someone's profile (each member will have to turn this new feature on) which is like attaching your message to their profile so that others can read it as well. Once you have turned this feature on, the option to leave a comment will appear just below the message section at the bottom of your profile.

So just to clarify, a message is only viewable to the person you are sending it to, but leaving a comment allows anyone who views the profile to read it. Hope that helps.

And finally, if you have any suggestions or contributions for me, I'm all ears!

Thanks,
Luke
