I graduated from NCSU (Go Pack) in 1991 with a degree in microbiology, but the time in the lab killed me. I began surfing in 1990 and decided to move to the coast. Got my Master's Degree at UNCW in Marine Biology and have been managing a laboratory for Dr. Mike Mallin since 1995. The Aquatic Ecology Lab is mostly involved with Freshwater and Marine water quality issues (see website above). I also have a business, AquACo, doing private consulting in water quality and aquatic research.
