I didn't attend GHS but attended school in Galena for 5th, 6th & 8th grades. I was invited to attend the GHS reunion anyway, so thank you for that. I remember many of you & it will be great to see everyone again. I have talked with a few of you a little over the last few years.
I graduated from River Ridge HS in Elizabeth, Illinois in 1988. I moved to Eugene, Oregon from high school. I had Britny & later Katerina (Kat). I've been a single parent most of their lives & still am to this day. We have moved many, many times over the years. I graduated from the University of Dubuque in 2000 with a BS in Computer Information Systems. I have lived in Cedar Rapids, Iowa since October of 2000 minus moving to Knoxville, Tennessee in 2002 for a few months & then back to Cedar Rapids. Besides working in the I.T. world, I have also worked for US Airways Express & American Eagle Airlines in Cedar Rapids as 2nd jobs.
We were fortunate enough to stay dry in the recent flood in Cedar Rapids & the surrounding areas. My work was downtown so I'm working from home for now. Many others were less fortunate & it is heartbreaking to see what people have lost in the floods.
I still love music, still listen to hard rock, punk, heavy metal, etc. I still go to concerts too. My love of many types of music was passed onto my daughters.
