Vicki was a beautiful, loving person and a wonderful artist. We were friends since the nursery at the Presbyterian church. I remember her impressive posters from Freeman in the 2nd grade. She was a seer and I'm lucky to have some art she did for me. We shared dreams and I pray we continue to. I love you Vicki and will miss you on this plane. David Mitchell
I echo David’s comments. She was a wonderful person. Vicki and I dated for a couple of years during college, and I was lucky to know her. It’s been well over 30 years since the last time I saw her, but I still have the ceramic pot that she gave me. The best piece of art that she ever gave me, however, was the painting that she did on my cast from hip to ankle after I tore up my knee during spring basketball practice our Junior year in high school.
I did not know Vicki much at all - we chatted a bit a the 30 year reunion...but she struck me as sophisticated, smart, multi-talented, full of energy,very pretty, happy, svelte, with a room brightening smile...I gather this small "profile" of her from watching her direct the great GHS band with such passion, enthusiasm and energy - I can still picture her leading the band in the gym during pep-rallies. God bless and love Vicki.
I barely knew Vicki in high school but our paths crossed in the summer of 1970, just after GHS graduation, in Provincetown on Cape Cod. I was on vacation and Vicki had a summer job waiting tables in P-Town. We spent a few days visiting the dunes of the Cape and I took her sailing on Pleasant Bay near Chatham. She was a sweet gal and I feel priviledged to have known her although too briefly. We briefly reminisced 20 years later at a GHS reunion.

Literally and figuratively, Vicki was a golden girl. I remember when she entered the ballroom at the 30th. Her big sis, Kathy, was in tow. The Bourek sisters got down and danced with abandon. Good memory. I'm sorry to hear of this loss.
I lived next door to Vicki and her family. I remember going to square dancing parties at her house. She was a very beautiful lady and so, so sweet. What a loss.
Vicki and I had a difference of opinion over an "all-to-important" band and choir musical production once upon a time. After that we weren't close, but I have always missed her. Vicki was my drawing and ceramics instructor at East Tennessee State University from 1981-1986. I learned so much from her that I can't begin to describe how much she impacted my life. Her passion for art and her caring and friendly nature endeared her to people. After 30 years, I had hoped to reconnect with my old friend by finding her on the computer only to discover that she had died. My heart goes out to her family. I love you Vicki you were the best.
