Daisy Suzanne Chapman (Brymer)

Gastonia - Suzanne Chapman Brymer, 60, of, Gastonia, died Friday, August 24, 2007 at her home, following a courageous battle with lung cancer, even though she was never a smoker. 
She was a native of Gastonia, and was a daughter of the late Willie Lester Chapman and Alma Marie Oates Chapman.


INTERMENT: Armstrong Cemetery 
Suzanne was a longtime member of Christ United Methodist Church and was Founding Queen of The Red Hot MaMa's, a Gastonia Chapter of The Red Hat Society. A self-taught artist, Suzanne exhibited her works throughout the Southeast. Her paintings are in private and corporate collections throughout the U.S., Canada, and Europe. She led several European art tours and taught art classes for more than 20 years. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend who is dearly missed.

 
SURVIVORS: Husband of 41 years, Earl Clayton Brymer of Gastonia; daughter & son-in-law, Leslie & David Monteith, Sr. of Clemmons; son & daughter-in-law, Denver & Kristi Brymer; sister, Mary Hope Eaker, all of Bessemer City; beloved special granddaughters, Sahvannah Brymer of Gastonia; Ashley & Grace Monteith of Clemmons; grandsons, Tre Jones of Bessemer City; David Monteith, Jr. of Charlotte; Adam Monteith of Spencer; numerous nieces and nephews
