In Memory

Lubert Barnes (Faculty)

You will be missed. You are embedded in our mind and heart.

Psalms 23: 4-6

"Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil;
For You are with me;
Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.
You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies;
You aniont my head with oil;
My cup runs over.
Surley goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life;
And I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever."

GHS Class of 1980 Motto: " We, the leaders of tomorrow, prepare ourselves today.

Ms. Barnes was a dedicated Language Arts teacher and was an advisor for Students Against Violence Everywhere (S.A.V.E.). She loved the students and they loved her back. The students called her the “Candy Lady,” because she gave them treats all the time. Ms. Barnes had a beautiful smile and gave encouraging words to all who knew her.
