Members of the Goldsboro High School Class of 1985 met on Saturday, January 15th (as announced at our 25th year reunion banquet) to elect new class officers. 

 

Effective Saturday, January 15, 2011...here are the newly elected officers for the GHS Class of '85:

 

President - Quique Jones

Vice Pres - Sonlita King Brown

Treasurer - Sherry Hopkins Jones

Asst Treasurer - George Mayhue

Secretary - Paula Hamilton Edmonds

Communications - Karen Brookes Carlos

Parliamentarian - Lisa Poteat Taylor

 

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who was able to attend the meeting!  Going forward, we will try to establish more effective/efficient communication which will allow out of town classmates or those unable to attend in person to be heard as well.  The core committee will be meeting soon to discuss new business.

 

It will be our goal to work together as a well oiled machine to bring unity and respect back to '85.  We are a family, and it's my true belief that if everyone works toward the common goal and good of the class, we can do it!

 

Ideas are welcome from each and everyone on how we can achieve this important task which will set standards for us in the years to come!  What will you contribute (i.e. positivity, support, encouragement, participation, etc.) to help take us there?  We're more than just a graduating class, we are the example our children live by and look up to!  We have been friends and family since grade school.  We are a class that prides itself on the bonds we've created and maintained over the years and the example we've been able to set for other classes.
