Lee Ann Creech Belongie, 39, died Monday at her home in Oxford.
Mrs. Belongie was born in Goldsboro to the late Marvin Vernon and May Benson Creech. She was a licensed practical nurse at Henderson Family Medicine Clinic, was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, and was a former Rainbow Girl.
She is survived by her husband, John Belongie; two daughters, Samantha Lee Belongie and Alex Belongie, both of the home; and a brother, William "Bill" Creech, and his wife, Debbie, of Clayton.

Lee Ann Creech was one of the first friends I made in elementary school. I was good friends with Lee Ann and Lynn Provost. I was sad to hear of her passing. I just recently found out, on this website as a matter of fact. She will always hold a special place in my heart.Pam (Williams) Gainey

LeeAnn will definitely be missed! Classmates may be glad to know that the Class of '85 contributed $500 in her memory to the Raleigh/Durham chapter of the American Cancer Society. And a letter was sent to her family with that information and condolences.
