Tamara McGee (Emeka)
Hello all!! I think it would be a great idea to start planning NOW for our 20 year reunion. If everyone starts putting money aside now, there should be no excuse 6 years from as to not having the funds to attend.
I'm thinking about a 3-day event (weekend of course). In the summer while the kids are out of school. Maybe 4 July weekend or some time in August before the kids go back to school. Friday: Meet & Greet (Classmates and Spouses/Kids) at GCHS. Saturday: BBQ (Any Park). Sunday: An ALL White Affair (Harbor Cruise).
If the majority of us participates, $60/each would be sufficient. This will cover hors d'oeuvres (sp)/drinks for the meet & greet, the food/drinks for the bbq, as well as the boat rental and the food and drinks.
To ensure that this event is cost effective and successful, everyone has to lend a helping hand (cooking). Catered food will cost more than purchasing on our own and cooking ourselves. What do you guys think?
