Barrett Wilson

Went to NCSU following high school where I lived with the likes of Alan Webb, Russell Doss, and Keith Leary among others. Got a BS in Electrical Engineering upon graduation in December of 1992. I started my first real job in March of 1993 with Conservatrol Corp. in Greensboro. After working there for 4 years, I started at Underwriters Laboratories and have been employed there ever since. I just earned an MBA degree at Elon in May; again Russ and I being educated together. We also work together at UL.

Nancy and I met while in college. She was going to UNC at the time and was supposed to be on a blind date with another guy the night we met, but I didn't know that. We dated a while, she went to grad school in Chicago and (to make a long story short) we got married on April 15, 2000. Nancy is my best friend and the love of my life!

Noah was born in 2001 and Nathan in 2003. They are 21 months apart in age and are typical brothers. They love to be active and help their Dad and Pop-Pop work around the house. My Dad is doing great and has remarried since we lost Mom in 2002 to lung cancer.

Noah is playing football at EM Holt now. Ironically, Coach May is his coach. Nathan will be playing flag football at Bellemont UMC in an Upwards league. Nancy and I spend our time being active parents.

We have been blessed.

I guess that about wraps it up. Looking forward to seeing everyone at the reunion!

I remember having to come to school in a wheel chair during our Junior year after wrecking my bicycle (I don't look forward to the days when my boys are equally daredevilish...). It was interesting getting lifted down to the HUT and being pushed through the halls of C-Building doing doughnuts. Probably lucky I didn't further injure myself.
