Having a blizzard, stuck at work and thought I would check this out a little. Hope there is a little more activity than this! I'll check in later since there is no place to go--highways are closed.

Hi John-
I agree I also was hoping for a little more response. Anyway now that you have broken the ice may others will join and share a thought or two.

Hi Rae Ann! It's nice to see some people are alive and well. Been at work since 5:30 Monday A.M. Hoping to get home tonight. The highway is almost open- 10 to 15 ft. drifts. Almost like being in Forks.I will keep checking in when I can. People-don't be afraid to visit!

Blizzards and floods good old GF weather in march!

Unfortunately we seem to want to do blizzards and floods at the same time in GF. Looks like Fargo isn't going to fair real well this time around. I wouldn't wish that experience on anyone. I hope it doesn't get as bad as they think. I hope you get home soon John.

I'm having a lot of fun with this website. I'm glad people are starting to check out all the things it can do! Keep in touch!

Hey, I'm jumping in here! Bored and lonely up here in Alaska... empty-nesting, watching NCAA BB and waiting for a volcano to BLOW! Floods, volcanos, what next?!

Janelle,
How long have you been up in Alaska?
I am enjoying yet another day of rain here in Vancouver British Columbia. I am praying for all you folks in Fargo and Grand Forks!
Cheers,
Christy

Christy,
What a nice surprise! We've been up here twice. 3 years the first time and 8 this time. THere was a move to DC in-between and we are headed back there. Greg's been there since Jan. and I'm waiting on our house to sell before I can go. Might be a while:( Want to move to Homer?? We love it here but time to move on. How's Vancouver? Do you have dual citizenship? Are you guys getting lots of rain? Glad to hear the waters in the homeland are cresting and hopefully the worst is over. Great to hear from you and maybe I'll see you this summer. Peace, Janelle

Hi Janelle,

We are getting lots of rain here as usual and we had snow a couple of weeks ago as well. It didn't stick but it's depressing when you get it over "Spring Break."

Best of luck with the house! What is the housing market like up there?

Cheers,
Christy

Hi Out there.
I am wondering if anyone can tell me about Jeff Gunderson. I was deeply saddened by the news of his passing and would like to extend my condolences to his family. Any information would be much appreciated.
Thanks,
Christy

Hi Christy
I don't much more than what I read in his obituary. His memorial service in GF was yesterday (Saturday). He died of natural causes but didn't list a cause. It's sad and hard he was much too young. Sorry I couldn't offer more information. If you would like to post your sympathies to his family on line go to www.amundsonfuneralhome.com.

Renae Lee (Bullinger)

Hello everyone, it's Renae Lee, anyone remember me? Haven't seen any of you in 10 years, will we recognize each other? Will I recognize anyone? Please come to me if I seem lost, because my memory isn't the same. I was the quiet and well reserved one with long, skinny legs with long hair and blue eyes. Boy this profile thing is a long one. I've got alot of pictures from our 20 year reunion I'd like to share with everyone! I got started and wrote a long summary of anything that would surprise you and my computer froze up on me. My daughter gave me her old computer from 2003 Sunday and I've been playing with it. I hope it didn't get lost. It will take me forever to get my profile done. Good thing I have a couple of months. The weather is Fargo is finally starting to get nice. Haven't been keeping tabs on the flood stage. Hope it has crested. I'm so sick of North Dakota weather, I don't know why I still live here.
Sorry, if this got long.

Hi John, Jim, Janelle, Christy and RaeAnn, some names I actually recognize. So John, when did you finally get home from that bad weather? Jim, do you travel for your job? What do you do? Does your family still own the Vilandre company in Grand Forks? Janelle, I hope your house sells and your move is successful. What was it like living in Alaska? It can't be much worse than living in North Dakota. Can't wait to read more message forum. Gives me something to do, I'm sure I'll be writing message periodically. Hope to see more people messaging in.

John – One of my first acquaintances at Washington Grade School. Some irony – after the school was closed it was converted into an apartment building. You’ll never guess who rented out the apartment that was the kindergarten room. That’s right – you may check out but you can never leave. FYI – I spent 4 years in Laramie, WY (2000-2004).

Janelle – I was in Anchorage and Nikiski last December. However, someone forgot to turn on the lights. I later found out that the lights are never shut off in the summer!!

Christy – BC sounds nice. My wife is a virtual Canadian; she is from Rolla, ND near the border. Marathons, huh? Now that is impressive!

Jimmy – You and I share a lot of memories. The problem is that I forgot most of them!! Can’t wait to see ya, brother.

Rae Ann – I must express my gratitude for organizing this site. Otherwise I would have never known that Jim Butler lived in Chillicothe, IL. I was in “Chilli” for business last night and hooked up with JB for dinner and a couple sasparillas. Thanks Rae Ann. Cheers JB.

P.S. Renae – I think I just blew your long post away with this one!

Tim,It's kind of funny that you have poped up. I was in G.F. for a few hours on the 29th of March and you popped into my thoughts as I drove down 4th street. For some reason I remember standing on the roof of your garage howling for some strange reason. Washington school and Mrs. Miller and her yardstick- hurt the knuckles. It's also funny that you were so close. Had I known, I would have paid you a visit. Wow! Another flashback! Does the name "Mooner" and the story behind it kock some dust loose in the rafters? I'll let you think about that one. JB would probably rember being in Mr. Erickson's office after that one. Great memories! It will be great to reconnect.
