Rae Ann - I too would like to thank you for setting this all up! :-) It has been so nice to get in touch with some of you through e-mail and also great to hear from those of you that have connected on the message forum.
I plan on spending next weekend with Leah Vig. We have stayed very close over the years.
My parents finally were able to get to our home over Easter; due to the ice storm, flooding, blizzard, highways closed, etc. My heart is with all of you in towns affected by the flooding. I get to GF to visit my parents often.
I look forward to seeing all of you that are able to come to the reunion and anytime anyone is near Rochester, MN - we live only 1 hr from Mpls and 15 miles outside of Rochester. I would love to get together! :-)
Take care all and God Bless!!!

Thanks guys! I have to say I have had alot of fun with this site and really enjoy the message forum. I'm glad it has helped get us in touch with each other. I look forward to the reunion and catching up with all of you! If you think of anything else I should add to the site let me know, and if you haven't taken the survey please do, it will help in the planning process. We are going to be meeting again soon.

Hey, Thought I would jump in here! I've been e-mailing with Jim Butler alittle, trying to get caught up. I've been watching the news about the floods, and remembering "throwing" sandbags many a time. It's hot here in Scottsdale, hit 102 yesterday!

Trying to make up my mind about attending, or not. I really haven't kept in touch with anyone, and don't know what I would do between Friday and Saturday night.

Hi Polly
Glad to see you decided to come to the reunion!

Rae Ann-excellent work on the site. Is there another site that has pictures of our classmates and teachers? I know that my yearbook vanished years ago.

The foundation sent us some pictures but they basically photocopied our yearbook and they were so bad that I didn't add them to the site. If anyone has pictures to add we can from high school or past reunions. Just let me know or get them to me via email and I can do that. I don't have a scanner so can't add regular pictures in. If you want I can bring my yearbook to the reunion if anyone wants to look back through the years.

John, The last time I saw you your hands and wrists were all cut to hell from working at a glass shop.
To tell you the truth, the last time we talked was at the 10 year reunion. I remember you had your hands full with a little one at Riverside Park the last day of the reunion.
Christy, if you log on you must be pretty happy that your son's team made it to the Clark Cup their first year in the league. I saw in the paper today they are up one game to zero. If you talk to him, tell good luck from a Des Moines Buccaneers fan.

Hey, Valley Junior High alums. Mrs Heggar (7th/8th math) is having a 90th birthday tomorrow, Sunday, May 3. I could have sworn she was almost 90 when we had her. There was a picture in the GF Herald on April 26. Might still be on there.

Ray, good memory, how right you are. Your picture shows you haven't changed in looks a bit. Hope to see Didi this summer as I have not seen him in a few years. Margie, I agree that she seemed 90 back then.

John,
You said my looks haven't changed one bit; please don't ask me to take my hat off.
Christy, I'm sure you know that the series is tied one game apiece.

Ray, I can tell you that I have alot of grey hair, an extra 35 lbs. and a titanium hip to top it all off! Getting older wasn't supposed to be this tough. These rotating 12 hr. shifts can make a person older faster. Life is still wonderful-alive and well and able to take nourishment!

Hi All,
I just started sending messages to a few people today, for the first time. Cindy Kleinsasser was one of them and it's her birthday today so be sure to send her a note!
Lora, I will be at the next meeting--thank goodness we see each other alot-I'm more apt to show up! HA! Christy, what a joy to have been able to see you, and then your family, at Jake's last game in Fargo! OF COURSE, I am fortunate to see your GF family QUITE often!
Janelle, I've thought of you and am anxious to see you this summer. And Tim Larson, glad to see your entry--even though we have that darling mutual neice, I still don't get to see you much. :(
Back to work--take care...
Cindy Everson

I know this message forum is not meant for jokes but for some of you Mom's - thought this would bring back some memories :-)

A 3-year-old tells all from his mother's restroom stall.

My little guy, Cade, is quite a talker. He loves to communicate and does it quite well. He talks to people constantly, whether we are in the library, the grocery store or at a drive-thru window. People often comment on how clearly he speaks for a just-turned-3-year-old. And you never have to ask him to turn up the volume. It's always fully cranked. There have been several embarrassing times that I've wished the meaning of his words would have been masked by a not-so-audible voice, but never have I wished this more than last week at Costco.

Halfway, through our shopping trip, nature called, so I took Cade with me into the restroom. If you'd been one of the ladies in the restroom that evening, this is what you would have heard coming from the second to the last stall:

''Mommy, are you gonna go potty? Oh! Why are you putting toiwet paper on the potty, Mommy? Oh! You gonna sit down on da toiwet paper now? Mommy, what are you doing? Mommy, are you gonna go stinkies on the potty?''

At this point I started mentally counting how many women had been in the bathroom when I walked in. Several stalls were full ... 4? 5? Maybe we could wait until they all left before I had to make my debut out of this stall and reveal my identity.

Cade continued: ''Mommy, you ARE going stinkies aren't you? Oh, dats a good girl, Mommy! Are you gonna get some candy for going stinkies on the potty? Let me see doze stinkies, Mommy! Oh....Mommy! I'm trying to see In dere. Oh! I see dem. Dat is a very good girl, Mommy. You are gonna get some candy!''

I heard a few faint chuckles coming from the stalls on either side of me. Where is a screaming new born when you need her? Good grief. This was really getting embarrassing. I was definitely waiting a long time before exiting. Trying to divert him, I said, ''Why don't you look in Mommy's purse and see if you can find some candy. We'll both have some!''

''No, I'm trying to see doze more stinkies...Oh! Mommy!'' He started to gag at this point.
''Uh - oh, Mommy. I fink I'm gonna frow up. Mommy, doze stinkies are making me frow up!! Dat is so gross!!''

As the gags became louder, so did the chuckles outside my stall.. I quickly flushed the toilet In hopes of changing the Subject. I began to reason with myself: OK. There are four other toilets. If I count four flushes, I can be reasonably assured that those who overheard this embarrassing monologue will be long gone..

''Mommy! Would you get off the potty, now? I want you to be done going stinkies! Get up! Get up!''

He grunted as he tried to pull me off. Now I could hear full-blown laughter. I bent down to count the feet outside my door. ''Oh, are you wooking under dere, Mommy? You wooking under da door? What were you wooking at? Mommy? You wooking at the wady's feet?''

More laughter. I stood inside the locked door and tried to assess the situation. ''Mommy, it's time to wash our hands, now. We have to go out now, Mommy.'' He started pounding on the door. ''Mommy, don't you want to wash your hands? I want to go out!!''

I saw that my wait 'em out' plan was unraveling. I sheepishly opened the door, and found standing outside my stall, twenty to thirty ladies crowded around the stall, all smiling and starting to applaud. My first thought was complete embarrassment, then I thought, where's the fine print on the 'motherhood contract' where I signed away every bit of my dignity and privacy? But as my little boy gave me a big, cheeky grin while he rubbed bubbly soap between his chubby little hands, I thought, I'd sign it all away again, just to be known as Mommy to this little fellow.

Hi Rae Ann, you know what would be great? Linking the Red River page with our site. I had a lot of friends from Red River and it would be cool to be able to contact them as well, especially, since we are having our reunions together this year. Can this be done? Great job on the site. Look forward to seeing everyone. Mary

Mary I can work on a link but if you contact Brad on the RR committee he can set you up with a guest membership to their site and you can connect with any of your old friends. We have several RR folks who have joined our site for the same reason. See you soon!

Opps. Our earlier post came after a night out with the girls and lots of wine. Truth be told, my kids graduated from the other school, and my daughter cheered there too. All in good fun :o)

Of course it is, but is fun to still razz about the other school. One of my closest friends now went there and we have a great time going back and forth about who went to the best school. I know she's wrong so it works out great!
