I have some VERY, VERY sad news. Jeff Lundeby's wife, Andrea passed away unexpectedly yesterday. Her maiden name was Andrea Gjerset and she graduated from Red River in 1989. I have some pictures of Jeff and Andrea under my profile. Jeff and Andrea were high school sweethearts. Please keep Jeff and their children, Alexandra and Jacob in your prayers.

Greetings to all of you. I was at a hockey game the other day and found myself completely lost in thought about Dakota, high school and all of you. Funny where and when those things strike you. I am not sure how or where to begin my journey of the last 20 years, its been a interesting one if nothing else. Hope to get to re-know lots of you guys. Hope everyone is well

Hey, Happy early Thanksgiving to you all.
We are heading to GF on Friday. I have to work until noon. Going to the hockey game on Saturday. I'm excited. We have to head out right away on Sunday, my daughter has dance practice from 1-3. Only 2 practices until the first competition of the year.
Kent and I will probably have some cocktails somewhere if anyone wants to chat, my cell # is 715-829-1298. I'd love to see you again!!!

Lets all give thanks for the blessings in our lives.

Happy Holidays everyone.

It's been awful quiet out here, but then again I have not been out here much myself. Work has been crazy and I am one of the few people left in the world without internet at home. However, I am at the moment testing the Verizon option as I type. Our cell phone service isn't the greatest out here either.

Because I live in the middle of nowhere my options are limited. I will probably end up going with satelite but am a little nervous about that option. Is anybody else currently using satelite internet? If you have an opinion on it please share with me as I'm scheduled for that install next week.

Well I just wanted to say hello and I'll get our 2008 X-mas card posted just as soon as I reconnect my scanner to the computer.

Happy Holidays all! This site has been quiet but I think thats because there are a lot of people on Facebook. Take care.

Happy Holidays to everyone. Sorry, Kim, I have no experience with satellite, but good luck and hope it all works out for you!
Yes, there are many on Facebook, at least we are still keeping in touch, and still stop by here...our first home! :)
I would still like to see the many who haven't made it to this site, sign up! So many still "missing"!
Take care all and be safe!

I just saw the post from Kim about internet options. You may have already made a decision, but I have been using Hughes Net for over two years now because I live in a semi-rural area outside Nashville. I love it! I had a home office for a year and it was perfect for holding web meetings and connecting through VPN. I had to go with a static IP address for it, which is a little more a month, but the download speeds and connection speeds are very comparible to DSL and cable. :)

Class,
I wanted to post an update regarding the organization that as a class we donated our funds to.

Friends and Family

In case you do not know, Extreme Makeover - Home Edition has issued a press release that they are looking for a family in the Grand Forks/Fargo area!!! Only a week or two ago, we were given the ok to start planning the Filling the Gap house, which would be a multi-family home that would house low income families during times of crisis at Altru. (which is a non-rofit health system). So people getting treated daily for cancer, parents with a baby in NICU, families with a loved one in ICU, will no longer have to sleep in waiting rooms, in their vehichles, or max their credit cards out on hotel bills. Of course, our biggest challenge is to secure the funding. What better way to show off the "heroes" of Grand Forks and the surrounding area than to encourage them to build a home for thousands of families. We would also like to consider asking a local family, whose 12 year old daughter has been battling leukemia, to move in to the residence quarters, which are part of the plan for the house! They don't have a house, they are renting, and can barely afford the rent each month due to Ali's skyrocketing medical bills. This could be such a true blessing for so many families!

Please consider sending a letter to: castinggrandforks@gmail.com. The deadline is Friday!
Richelle and I have both sent similar letters to them! If we get enough people to do this, maybe we'll get the Filling the Gap house! We are submitting a full application this week, in partnership with Altru Health Foundation, (We're not submitting it as a personal application for ourselves) Let them know if you'd be willing to help, or why you think our community desperately needs this home.

Here's to hoping/praying they make it to Grand Forks!
Sarah

PS If you have already nominated someone, then great! Good luck! :)
