Let's all be sure to keep Stephanie (Hill) Simione's husband in our prayers. Stephanie just updated that his brain tumor has started growing and is now enduring radiation treatments. The best of luck to you Anthony and you are definitely in our prayers!

Hi all. In view of all the previous sad posts, I just thought I would let everyone know that my 6 week post-op appointment went great! My heart is functioning alot better and the valve is doing it's job nicely. I'm off of almost all of the heart medicine and my surgeon feels the valve will last a long time. So- that's really good news. Over all, I'm feeling really good. It still hurts when I sneeze, though. ;)

Good news, Jen! So very happy to hear! Especially given the grave news of late. OH, and Bless you! In case you sneeze again.

Hey thanks! Sneezing is quite the experience. It hurts in a really weird way. It feels rather strange. If you are a fan of the old "Alien" movies...you'll get the picture. ;)

Sure has been quiet around here lately! Where are the other 160 something classmates? I had my monthly shower so that can't be it! Can it? LOL

Wow, that is a smaller list than I expected.
It will still be good to see you all!

I am sure that this list will get considerably longer in the next couple of weeks. It will be great to see as many of you as possible.

I am looking forward to seeing everyone attending. Whitey’s is going to be packed. I am hearing of many people attending Friday night. I hope people don’t miss out on Saturday at Sanders. Darin and I had only been to Sanders twice in the last 10 years, but we recently went to check it out for the reunion. We wanted to know if the price per ticket was a good value. The meal was amazing and the atmosphere was an experience. Both Darin and I agreed that the price quoted by Kim was reasonable and well worth it. This is our 20 Year Reunion and it only happens once. How exciting for our class to experience Sanders together. Kim is closing down the place for us and he has promised to make it a “Swank” Celebration. If the cost has you on the fence just consider how much you may have spent on PROM 20 years ago. I also want you to consider that many classmates are traveling and have additional costs and they are coming all this way to see other classmates.
Speaking of seeing other classmates. I am having some anxiety about what I look like. I am not the same weight, heck I am not even the same height I was in high school. I still live in GF and happy to be here. I haven’t built a multi-million dollar empire – it is still in the works – ha, ha. I want to connect with friends that near or far are still my friends. I also am looking forward to connecting and making new friends. Working on the reunion has been a great experience in connecting with people I only sort of knew in high school. I have already established some wonderful new friendships and I can’t wait to make more. I look forward to seeing you all in August.
Gods Peace.

Dennis Cutshall (Breitwieser-Cutshall)

Well, Kathy, I am one inch taller!!! :-) (and 40 lbs heavier, and a whole lot less hair) Still not a successful musician, and I am doing well that bills are paid on time and the kids are clothed and fed. I did have some anxiety given I look nothing like I used to, but you know what? Oh, well. It's me! LOL I look forward to see ya there!

Kathy Gillies (Barker)

Thanks Dennis! I wanted to share my anxieties for two reasons. One to hopefully encourage people that are not planning on attending the reunion because of their own insecurities, whatever they may be, to reconsider. Two to solicit positive feedback on what a great person I am – ha, ha – just kidding. We are all pretty normal and I don’t think we really judge people for all of the things we are hard on ourselves about.

Thanks to everyone that has made a contribution to the “Make A Difference in 2008”! We are still accepting nominations for what charity to make the donation to.

Cheers to you all – see you in August.

Although my registration form is late in being sent I will also be attending both nights. I am looking forward to the opportunity to visit with my former classmates, reminisce about the old times, share our life experiences and have some great laughs.
I to found myself nervous about attending the 20 year reunion. With a little reflection I realized I was holding myself back from the opportunity to enjoy this once in a life time event due to my own insecurities. Gosh, the next time we all meet we will approaching 50! Ugh!!!!!
I want to express my thanks to those who have spent a great deal of their time and resources preparing for the upcoming reunion. I look forward to seeing you and embracing the nights you have worked hard to coordinate for us to enjoy!!

1st Happy 4th to everyone.......Please have a safe 4th of July! Change lets face the facts we all have considering their are now kids hanging on to us........LOL! So yup more weight since school lots more I blame it on having 4 kids of genetics LOL! But deep down I'm still the crazy person I have always been. So my fear of being judged for that is my down fall. But heck who cares really cause I'm happy with 4 beautiful kids and a loving husband. So I'm going to put my fears aside and attend.

Kathy I talked with the dance team coaches at the meeting and still waiting for them to get back to me. So I will call you when I hear something.

For anyone traveling with their kids I have the central dance team willing to babysit total of 9 girls so if your in need of a babysitter for Friday night or Saturday night please call so I can hook you up .......701-775-4651 Tammy

Happy Fourth of July from Baghdad!

(I just sent this message out via the email distribution list, but thought I would post on the message forum as well.)

For us here, we are hoping the night is fairly quiet with no fireworks show in country. I hope you all are enjoying your weekend as I am one of the few that will be working through it versus enjoying the lake. Enjoy good food and suds for me. It is time for another reunion update as we are down to 35 days and counting until the reunion weekend. So far 87 classmates have indicated that they plan to attend the reunion next month. Thank you to all of you that have gotten in your registration fees, it is much appreciated. So far, Bryant Hansen will be traveling the farthest distance (Switzerland) to attend the reunion. Others from outside the Midwest attending are Henry Van Winkle from California, Merilee (Barnum) Bernhardt from Connecticut, Colleen (Hackenberg) Nycum from Colorado, John Bratelli from Colorado, Mark Kaufmann from Colorado, Stacy (Kaufmann) Lawlor from Maryland, Dennis Cutshall from Ohio, Onder Ceyhun from Washington, and David Grubb from Washington.

For those interested in paying reunion registration fees by credit card versus check and snail mail, you may pay the registration fees by PayPal at www.paypal.com. After setting up a free account, send payment to darinbarker@yahoo.com and please add $2.19 for the PayPal processing fees. If you want to pay using PayPal to pay for the reunion registration payment, but are unsure how to use PayPay, please contact Darin at above email address.

The class website continues to be a great hit as over half of the class has updated their profile with many recent updates and total hits to date is 5579. For those planning to get a tattoo down the road, you might want to consider the services of Jeff Ollerich, who does fantastic work in California. There are still about 2-3 new updates everyday, so feel free to check it out and catch up on those from the class. Thanks in particular to Michelle Kadlec, who has done an outstanding job of contacting classmates and getting the word out.

For those still planning to attend, but haven’t sent in your reunion payment, please contact Darin Barker to inform him of your intension for planning purposes. Those working on the details of the weekend need to start firming up numbers.

Cheers,

Vic

Darin,

I wasn't on the list for Friday night but was planning on attending. Maybe I wasn't clear about that on my form I sent in. It wouldn't suprise me.

Thanks, Stacy Lawler

Stacy:

Actually it was probably I who wasn't particularly clear. As far as I know, everyone who has registered for Sanders is also planning to be at Whitey's. I just wanted to start another list for people who won't be at Sanders, but who have sent in their registrations and will be attending one or more other events. Hope this clears things up.

If anyone would like to know, I have heard from Rhonda Knight via myspace (and still have been unsuccessful at getting her here :-) ). She is doing well, and says hello.

Thanks Dennis. I am sure you have directed Rhonda to the Class website. We are now in touch with over 225 classmates. Thanks to all who have been helping out with finding the lost!

As I'm sure many have noticed, the list of Sanders attendees continues to grow daily, which is great to see. Just a reminder that it's not too late to register. Realistically, we need to let Kim Holmes know a final number within the next two or three weeks. If you are still interested in attending and don't see your name on the list posted above, please let me (or Vic, Michelle, Randy or Kathy) know as soon as possible. Thank you.

I shall be there. I've got the paypal info for this shindig in an email somewhere (if someone wants to send it to me again, i wouldn't argue) and will do the payment thing Friday.

I'll be there the weekend then flying to Helsinki to meet up with my wife (visiting her mother for a few weeks). No status change in her immigration paperwork (curses to our govt, try fixing legal immigration before illegal plskthx).

I'm looking forward to this a lot.
