Jessica Andrews Willcut

After high school, I bounced between NIU and CLC and completed my Associates degree. I then won $1,000 on the US99 song of the day contest. I packed up everything I owned, including the set of dishes I acquired at Jewel every week, shipped it all off by UPS and hopped on an Amtrak train bound for California to be with Tim, an Army soldier/pen pal I met through a pen pal ad Debbie Boss and I had put in the Stars and Stripes newspaper in Germany.

Things went well out in Tehachapi, CA and we got married and along came Timmy. We moved to Lancaster, CA for a little while and Tim completed his associate degrees. We then moved back to Illinois because the job market stinks in California. I did the stay at home mom thing and then Ryan came along in 2000. Once he was old enough to start school, I put my thinking cap back on and went back to college to finish my lifelong dream of completing my bachelor's degree.

Tim and I divorced right before the 20 year reunion. I started working at the Marriott Theatre box office and that turned into a full time position.

I spent many years as a cub scout parent and leader and would rather be in front of a campfire and camping than anywhere else. I learned through life experiences that you really don't need much to make you happy and the less clutter you have in your life, the more room and time you have to enjoy it.

I was very fortunate to fall in love again with my amazing sweetheart, Scott. He takes great interest in me and my boys and will be joining me for the class reunion this year. I look forward to seeing everyone soon!
