Met Mike at ASU Oct '69, got married July '70 & moved to Winston-Salem, had Jennifer Read in '73 & Michael in '76, lived in Clemmons and Kernersville
Both kids graduated from WCU. Jennifer got married 9/28/2001 in Batavia NY to Mark D'Alba. She has a stepdaughter who has been in our life since she was 3. Michael lives in Charlotte and has worked with the Carolina Panthers for 11 seasons now! Mike & I moved to Augusta, GA at the end of 2001 after he lost his job in G'boro that August. I had worked at Castleberry Foods here for over 3 yrs and then at a few other jobs doing A/P, A/R, Payroll & other clerical responsibilities. Then I decided I did not want to do that kind of work anymore. I had the opportunity to take a class for substitute teaching in a preschool and I decided I wanted to try to teach. So, I managed to get hired as an assistant teacher full time in a class for toddlers! It is a whole new world for me and I love it. Stinky diapers and snotty noses and all!!! Oh yeah, Mike and I just celebrated our 39th wedding anniversary.
