Karyl Floyd

First of all, thanks Jennifer for hooking me up with Diane. I hate she won't be at the reunion but I certainly understand.
Secondly, I am wanting to write to Guy Arcure (whose picture is for some reason not in our Sr yearbook [too humiliating, perhaps?]but the name is kind of familiar)but I don't want it to be a private message. His profile is not providing an open for all to read message as an option. Does this mean we are supposed to wait on a personal invitation from HE HIMSELF in order to converse with him? Or am I such an academically challenged creton that I don't understand how to approach such an esteemed GHS graduate. Just wondering.......I promise if anybody even reads this and thinks I should just keep my comments to myself I promise I will give it serious consideration........but gosh I'd really love permission from somebody to put my worthless little two cents in........

Hello Karyl Floyd,

I sent you a little note. Apologies about the profile settings and not being able to sit for my Sr. picture.

Glad to know that you still have that edge...

Guy

I sent you a note too, Guy, and look forward to talking with you Saturday night. Can we converse in English to save time though? I wish I'd taken Spanish for 4 years instead of Latin!

Thanks to everyone who came last night and made it a memorable evening. Ladies, as Keith said you all looked awesome. Guys........
Let's be sure to do it again soon. Howsa 'bout we schedule a reunion every year during the Page vs GHS football game, and years between the 30th and 40th, it's just an informal get together somewhere like we did Friday night at Neil Reitzels place, Sticks and Stones.
Thanks again everyone.
Brien

Thanks to all of you who put this together. I had a blast. It was great seeing everyone. Had to leave around 11:30 because according to my wife I had too much to drink so she took me home and spanked me!!! Is this web-site going to stay up?

We only got in trouble at the "after party". I'm sure that guy thought, "Who are all of these old people in this room making all of that noise!!?".

Absolutely Wonderful - there are not enough words to describe how great Sat evening was. As I told Beth, I have two regrets - that I did not get there earlier and only ate one plate of food! Oh, and wish I had stayed at the Marriot and let my husband drive his car too! Does anyone remember the song that cleared the dance floor?

I agree with Brian - lets get together more often - annually at the Grimsley/Page game would be awesome.

Thanks so very much to all that were involved in the planning and the work that resulted - it showed!

What a wonderful group of adults we have turned out to be!

I had SO MUCH FUN, too! THANK YOU so much to those who did the actual work. It has been many, many years since I didn't make it to bed at all after a party...by about 4 I gave up the notion of sleep and had just had my brother drive me to the airport at 6. I think doing that once a decade is probably healthy, no? Anyhow, I'd welcome visitors (am looking at you, Beth Michaud Magee). I'm on Facebook and my email is skrice@hughes.net.

OK, now back to work, in the real world.

Thanks so much to all of you dedicated Whirlies who put the reunion together, and to all of you who were able to come. It was great to see you all, and I look forward to the next one!

You are all such nice folks, I wish I had gotten to know you better back in the '70s. To Queen, God bless you for sharing your story with everyone about beating cancer. You are an inspiration. We will see you next time! --Kevin (cancer survivor)

Hey classmates, hope everyone has recuperated from the past weekend!I had a great time, especially spending time with my ex wife Leisha(there's a joke in there, but i "ain't" tellin').Again,a big shout out and thanks to Tracy and everyone else that helped put this together,it was outstanding!!!
Now on a more serious note. Some of you may have seen or heard of a situation between Rhonda Tripp and i that happened just before the re-union.I began receiving some
malicious messages from her profile page and unfortunately things got real ugly really quickly!
Now it has come to light that the "real" Rhonda new nothing about the entire incedent. It turns out that
some a-hole hijacked her profile page just to start some
trouble.I met with her last night and discussed the whole thing and we're pretty sure we know who it was.
I have contacted the home office of class creator,by phone, and they are in the process of investigating it right now.If by chance anyone else received a message
from her page or happens to hear any talk of who is responsible for this, please contact me as soon as possible!
Let it be known that i have apologized to her over and over about this even though she is aware that i had no idea it was someone else claiming to be her.She was and still is a very good friend of mine and a truly great person!-JACK WILLIAMS

Does anyone know if there was an official group shot or was that a set up for the significant others to take pictures?? If it was a professional shot, please post where to see them and if it's not, please let me know where they may be posted (facebook, etc.) so I can see them. My camera was dead so I didn't get a picture. Thanks to whoever has one and is willing to share it. And thanks to all of you who have been posting the candid shots from the weekend! Again, it was an awesome time.

Thanks to all the organizers of the reunion for doing such a fantastic job! It was good seeing everyone. I had such a good time! Can't wait until the 35th. Thanks to this web site and facebook we can stay in touch on a regular basis.

To my sister Carolyn Tate-Lee and to Kevin Smith I am proud of you. I share your experience with cancer and join you as a breast cancer survivor (March 21, 2005) and salute you in your victory in your fight. Remain strong and always stay positive.

To Everyone who planned and celebrated a fun reunion weekend: A much overdue thank you. The smiles, hugs, laughs, and stories retold made it all worthwhile - so glad I came. And my 4-year old twins had a blast at the football game as well. I've loaded a couple of football-related pictures under my profile if you missed meeting Lillian and Grace at the game. Thanks again to everyone for making it a great trip home! Take care - Linda Wells Travis
