Raymond Oakley

GREENSBORO - Mr. Raymond Woodrow ÒWoody" Oakley, 59, went home to be with Jesus, his mother and other loved ones Wednesday evening, May 16, 2007, at Moses Cone Memorial Hospital. 

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Monday, May 21, at Forbis & Dick North Elm Chapel with Brother Jerry Langley officiating. Interment will follow at Lakeview Memorial Park. 

Raymond Oakley was born November 25, 1947, the son of Ceaser W. Oakley and the late Bonnie W. Oakley. Raymond graduated from Ben L. Smith High School and was a self employed pipe fitter and welder. He was a member of The Triad Worship Center. 

Mr. Oakley was preceded in death by his mother, nephew and uncle. 

Woody is survived by his father and step mother, Ceaser W. Oakley and Mary Margaret Oakley of Greensboro; three step children; three sisters and one brother; four grandchildren; two aunts and one uncle and several nieces and nephews. 

The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Sunday evening at Forbis & Dick North Elm Chapel.
