Rev. Bobby Edward Eggleston, 62 of Broomfield, Colorado entered Heaven on Friday, February 11, 2011 at Exempla Good Samaritan Hospital, Lafayette, CO.  Bobby was diagnosed with Leukemia three months ago and after three rounds of chemo lost his battle with AML. 
Bobby was born October 29, 1948 to the late Edward McCoy Eggleston and Jerlean Hinson Eggleston in Burlington, NC and later moved to Greensboro NC where he graduated from Smith High School before going to Piedmont Bible College where he received his Bachelor of Ministry degree.  Bobby accepted the position of Youth Director at South Elm St Baptist Church from 1972 – 1973.  From 1973-1976 Bobby taught Christian School in Richmond, Va.  In 1976 he moved us to back to Winston Salem, NC where he worked with a group of bi-vocational pastors to help support and build up a church plant prior to moving the family to Broomfield, CO in August 1980 to attend Denver Theological Seminary.  While at DTS Bobby served at North Federal Baptist Church from 1980-1983.  When DTS merged with Faith Bible College in Iowa, Bobby moved the family to Lynchburg, VA to attend Liberty University Seminary and worked at Old Forrest Road Baptist Church as Youth Minister until 1987 when Bobby was called to return to the Metro Denver to server the Lord as bi-vocational minister working for churches who could not afford to pay more than one staff person.  During the remainder of his life he served as Assistant Pastor and Youth Director of South Wadsworth Baptist Church from 1987-1990 and from 1990-2011 Bobby served at First Baptist Church of Broomfield Colorado in many capacities from Youth Director in the early years to Awana Commander and Prime Timers Sunday School teacher at the time of his death.  Bobby loved the Lord and shared Christ with others till his last breath.  Bobby work for Ball Aerospace & Technologies Corp from 1990-2011 in several different jobs.  At the time of his death he was a Commodities Specialist 3.  Bobby loved his work at Ball Corp and the wonderful people that he worked with.  He was looking forward to getting better and returning to his job.  He truly loved working for such a great company and enjoyed everyone who came to visit him while he was sick.  The Bear that was given to him on the 10th made him smile, thank you for all your love and care. 
Bobby is survived by his wife Judith (Judy) Walker Eggleston of Broomfield, CO, son John Thomas Eggleston (John McGee) of Oklahoma City, OK, daughter Faith LeAnn Eggleston of Broomfield, CO, son Chad Edward Eggleston (Lesley Jensen), three beautiful granddaughters Kira Leigh, Anika Paige, and Kaelyn Scout, of Aspers, PA, his mother Jerlean Hinson Eggleston of Greensboro, NC, sisters Kelly Ann Eggleston Hamilton (Bill) of Monroe, NC, and Mary Alana Eggleston of Greensboro, NC.  Bobby was preceded in death by his father Edward McCoy Eggleston, brother Ronald Dale Eggleston, grandparents Edward Coy and Mary Jane Eggleston, and Samuel and Mattie Hinson 
A Memorial Service was held at First Baptist Church, Broomfield, CO on Tuesday, February 15, 2011 at 5:30 pm.  Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 19, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at George Brothers Funeral Service with Rev. Michael Barrett officiating. Interment will follow in Guilford Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. 
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church of Broomfield for Mission Aviation Fellowship, 90 Emerald Street, Broomfield, Colorado 80020 or to the family to help offset burial expenses.

In Spanish class with Bobby Eggleston "Whegg" and Mike Kelly.  We had a blast.  Bobby and Mike got me in a lot of trouble.
