Sandra was my best friend in grade school. We were in the girl scouts together. I missed seeing her at the 40th class reunion and really regret that.

I knew Sandra and her family for years. Her father, Edgar, was our wedding photographer. Sandra was at the Friday night event of our 40th reunion, and I am thankful that I spent some time with her.
She was a wonderful nurse. God rest her soul!

Cassandra Larson, Sandra, and I spent years and years being best and not so best friends.  We were like waves, but we had wonderful times together.  When life pulled us apart, it was only a matter of time until life pushed us back together.  We loved each other, played together, disagreed and agreed.  We were four houses apart which at times was like living together, and at other times like being strangers.  We grew up together.  Young ladies searching for our place in life.  She was special.  I only knew how special as the years increased.  One year in junior high we would walk from E. E. Bass Junior High School to Mr. Larson's photo studio and play next to the railroad tracks putting pennies on the track for the next train to flatten.  Or we would scrounge up enough money to get a Shipley's donut.  Mr. and Mrs. Larson would show me how they touched up the photos, so they looked perfect.  I remembered the year in high school when she had her license and a car, and she would give me a ride to school each morning.  I doubt I even had money to offer for gas.  Another imprint on my life and heart . . .
