Ken Ibsen Kenny and the rest of ya'll - I didn't know I would get such a big response to my comments about the Douglas Hotel. Lots of memories and I do remember the barber shop but sure didn't know that you're parents owned it. Trivia question - does anybody remember the name of Red Brown's daughter???

Ken Ibsen Today, we went to the funeral of Billy Simpson's mother. Scooter and his wife, Bubba Buehler, Debbie Aultman were also there. Billy very much appreciated us being there - please keep him and his family in your thoughts and prayers. Also saw Mrs Talbert, Mrs Rowell and Bill William's mother; she said Bill was coming - Mrs Rowell said Harry will be a no show.

Mary Pryor--Yesterday, at the funeral, Nell Rowell asked Billy and us to PLEASE stay with her. So, it looks like our plans may have changed.

Jerry Brown, my childhood buddy...Jerry and I used to frog gig wherever we heard a croke. We smoked those little Swisher Sweet cigars until the wee hours of the morning. Brenda please commnicate with Jerry that Mitzi and I are certainly thinking about him daily. I was wondering if he killed a turkey on the hunt he was on?

Gator, I am still here. Mitzi and I have been fairly involved with Billy over the last few days and have been out of our normal routine. Kenny Ibsen is right, we should continue to remember Billy and Malissa...and those who have recently lost their mothers...I am thinking of Debbie Aultman (we saw her at the funeral yesterday) and Cheryl Pollard Brown. We saw Jane Sherman at the funeral yesterday too. Jane is absolutely the sweetest person in the world.

Don't want to even imagine going through that anytime soon. My heart goes out to them.... David West and Don Holt and his wife are staying at the Hampton.

For the Veterans, Law Enforcement and First Responders - Thank you for your service on this Memorial Day Weekend. I had the privilege of doing a ribbon cuttng with Col. George (Bud) Day last year in San Antonio and that was a definite and profound lesson in loyalty to our country. For those that are not familiar with the name google him - I can understand why Senator McCain stated several months ago that he wanted to grow up and be "Bud Day". September 11th gave all of us a new insight to the law enforcement and first responders' responsibilities.

Susan Hughes (McCarty) Sorry, Victor, but my Court is second to none in the Whole Wide World.................... In all honesty, The Honorable Ashley Hines probably has the most difficult case load. He gets the big, bad cases! One thing I have learned from this job.........you don't judge a book by it's cover, and there is definitely two sides to every story.

Super, we have a great group there at the Hampton.

Brenda, we are bringing my 15 yr. old, the others have their own problems, and we aren't bringing grandbabys on an 8 hour trip. It is bad enough when we do the 15 hour trip to KY, to see inlaws.

Susan Hughes (McCarty) My source isn't Marilyn...............she's on her way here. Jim and Cecil weren't really close friends - they played football. Jim has always talked about how very, very hard Cecil worked on the field, and the heart he had for the game. Where is Cecil now?
