Marilyn: I was going to recommend inferiority complex counselling with Scooter and Mitzi but you hit the nail on the head.

I had a blast at the reunion. I tried to circulate as much as I could but even at that there were some of you I didn't get to talk to until Sunday morning on my way out.To those of you I missed, my loss. I want to thank Michael Tonos for offering to adopt me into the "Irish". I did my best trying to keep up on the dance floor with those St. Joe boys. I think Gator, Rick McCandless and I gave it a pretty good shot one time, but then we all had to sit down and rest!Loved seeing everyone.I have a few pictures that I will try and post today.

Wow what a wonderful time it was. Time to visit with old friends. Time to make new friends from old aquaintances. Times to appreciate the fact we were able to have this chance to renew our affections for each other. Time to recognize our differences made us complete as a class. Time to know that through the years our faults and our goodness have made us who we are. Time to find peace love and harmony in our lives both as indivduals and as brothers and sisters of the class of "69". Time yes time that which all of us share the future with way to little left to be anything less than happy, content, and loved. Time for me to say I love my classmates both GHS and St JOE. Time to say I already miss you guys and look for your faces until that moment when we again meet somewhere, someplace, some TIME.

Hi Class of '69 - Jenny Sherman here(George's wife)- I had to write, even though I'm an outsider:), and tell you all thank you so much for making me feel welcome and part of the class of '69! I enjoyed getting to know Greenville High and St. Joe people. I'm convinced '69 was the last great year! All You Folks Must Remember One Thing!!!!

Every day when I awake and look in that great man made mirror I am reminded of what a "Great Sense Of Humor God Must Have"!

I wish to thank the Class of 1969 Committee for preparing such a memorable event. Lana and I had such a wonderful time, it was great to see everyone. I hope everyone has a safe trip home. Let's use this web page to keep in touch.

Once again, thanks to the committee! I deeply appreciate the many hours of planning it took to have such a successful event.

Thank you George, for the tunes!! We played them while we were traveling yesterday.

Warmest Regards,

Bob and Lana Singleton

Class of 69 - I enjoyed seeing, talking, dancing and laughing with "all ya'll"

I do want to leave the forum with one quote from somebody, but I don't know who the author is.

"Even though we've changed and we're all finding our own place in the world, we all know that when the tears fall or the smile spreads across our face, we'll come to each other because no matter where this crazy world takes us, nothing will ever change so much to the point where we're not all still friends."

On my drive home, I did a lot of thinking and praying. I know there were some folks that I didn't care about seeing, and I am sure others didn't care about seeing me, but I realised we have already lost several of our classmates, and we have others who are very ill, and I know that the next time we meet, some of us will be gone, and that makes me sad, because each and everyone of us make up the Class of 69 (GHS and St. Joe.) FRIEND(S) covers a lot of territory, some you can't do without, some you don't ever want to see again, some you miss, some you don't miss, but I truly know that I visited with and hugged my friends this weekend, and for that I am thankful!

To Everyone,

There were many of you I had not seen since high school. My loss. It was great to get together again. I have great memories of my time in Greenville, and those memories were reinforced when I saw so many of you this weekend. Just in case I didn't speak to everyone, I do ok with faces most of the time, but am terrible with names. If I didn't speak it was my own embarrassment over not remembering everyone and no other reason. I must say, the guys from St. Joe, good ole friends George Sherman, Joe Sherman, Chris Shapley, John (Bubba) Hinkle, (sorry John, you'll always be Bubba to me), Joe Dantone, and so many others had us GHS guys beat hands down in terms of appearance. It helped my feelings to see though that many of the guys I played football and baseball with had gained weight like myself. I don't know about ya'll but seeing the pictures has inspired me to want to do better. What can I say, all the women/girls looked good. It was a blast, and I would like to express my thanks to every and anyone who had anything to do with the planning of the weekend. I would also like to extend a special thanks to George Sherman for the great work in putting the CD together. I know it took a great deal of time and was not cheap either. As I've gotten older, music has in many ways replaced my passion for sports, at least on a day to day basis. I still love the Rebels though. Hoddy Toddy. And I love you all.

Thanks Joe,I have posted all of my pictures. All that I had. I left two of my son on there. One of him with his youngest child and one to show the St Joe people that he loved everything to do with St.Joe. He even broke his sholder tackeling the wide reciver of the other team for
St Joe .He was a great line backer.I was and still am very proud of him and every thing he did in his short life. As yall can see I am still having trouble with the fact that he is gone. This weekend was a blessing for me to see people I havent seen in years. It helped me forget for a little while the hardest time of my life. Thank you class of 1969! love kenny

P S --I didn't write in caps this time. lol Im not screaming at yall!!!
