Chad, I was wondering the same thing about the photographer. Hope he get the pics on there soon. We went to the best fire works show last night. Tallahassee is a wonderful place to visit especially when you have family here. We rode to St George Island Friday. When Caron and I got to the edge of the water (brought no swim suits) we could not help it. We jumped in and swam with our clothes on. Had to ride back freezing to death but it was worth it. Got to head home tomorrow and not ready. Susan, did you get your canning done???

Marilyn,

Sounds like you guys are having a great visit with Caron!!! We have never been out to St. George, but have friends in Tally that love it. I am working on a visual of you and Caron plunging into the gulf with all your clothes on and best of all, the cold wet ride home. Great fun!!! Have a safe trip back home. I know leaving is hard. I am especially missing my kids and grands right now. Spending time with family and friends is what life is all about!!!

Classmates of the GHS AND SJH class of 69
Hope everyone had a fun and safe 4th of July!!!

George, I listened to your CD all the way to and from the beach. It is awesome! It made all those traveling hours quickly pass. I appreciate all the time and work you spent putting it together. Thank You!

Hey Yal

I'm up dog-sitting. It is thundering and Angel, our Golden Retriever, just does not do well with thunder and lightening. This is like being up with a frightened child :) I have been "off the forum" for a while, even though hardly a day passes that I don't check it out to see what you folks are up to. I am probably like a lot of you in thinking that my stuff is just not that interesting or important. But, I really enjoy reading all of the things that YOU talk about on the forum.

So, I will tell you that Mitzi, three of the children and I will be in Destin the later part of this week (Thursday through Tuesday---Maybe we will see you Chad). And, my grass is brown from lack of rain. And, someone from my camp in Louisiana called saying that water was leaking from where the hot water heater is located in our house. Oh well. Would someone please get oveer there a fix it :) See I told you my stuff isn't that interesting.

Hattiesburg, like so many others, is shocked to hear of Steve McNair's death. His son plays on our high school football team and Steve was always walking the sidelines during games last year. Sad.

Well, the thunder has stopped so maaybe Angel and I can get back to sleep. Talk with you later.

Scooter, you can let her come spend the summer with us. No storms here. Only ten or twelve drops of rain.
Our dogs run over us to get in the door away from the flies. Dogs learn quick that they rule at the Frey house.
I check the message board every day to see if anyone has a new post.
Hope you got the water heater fixed. Our smoke alarm beeped every three minutes all night long. Unfortunately it is not the kind that you can remove the battery and it will hush up. Better be fixed when I get home or there will be a murder in Murphy tonight. Take care.

Hey Jobanna...and I do recall those days in the Delta when we so desperately needed rain...the cotton and beans would seem to be pleading for help. It has been raining off and on here all day. Sky is overcast and a nice cool breeze blowing.

Dogs are people to. That's what we say at our house. One of our friends said, "These dogs act like they live in this house." Mitzi said, "But, they do!" I have always owned dogs, or maybe they owned me. I am convinced that there are people who own a dog(s) and there are Dog People. You can usually tell the difference by looking at their Vet Bill.

I did not get the Hot Water Heater fixed yet. I have a man who manages the place and he told me that he was going in the house today to see what is going on. In the overall scope of things, beeping smoke alarms and broken hot water heaters just aren't that much of a big deal. Aggravating...yes....otherwise...no! Stay cool.

Note the Facebook...Allan and I are talking about a Brownie Reunion in the mountains of Georgia around Labor Day.

Hey Chad...we usually stay at The Pelican which is right across the street from The Big Kahuna Water Park. Mark and I usually play The Plantation. I will call you when we get there. Call me if anything changes (601)310-8245.
If anyone else is going to be there during that time, give us a call and we can all get together.

REUNION COMMITTEE
Thanks again to the committee for all of your hard work..
This reunion was "THE BEST" I know the burden of planning these reunions falls on those of you who still live in and around Greenville. We do so appreciate your willingness to continue to give all of us the opportunity to "come home" and reconnect. You are very special people for doing this for our class!!!!

it is around 10 on friday night...we found out today that my sister-in-law has a brain tumor. many of you know her...peggy hightower beckman. she is in the university of california medical center, san francisco. she will probably have surgery within the next few days or so. the doctor told bill and peggy tonight...that even though the path report on the biopsy has not come back...he is pretty certain that it is malignant. please keep them in your prayers. they have four grown daughers and one little four month old granddaughter and another one on the way in october. peggy has a lot to "live" for. i know they would be grateful for the prayers. they (prayers) do make a difference.

Sorry to hear about that. I hate it when doctors tend to be negative or "truthful" as they put it. But we know that prayer does work and will pray that they don't find anything.

Hey Debbie and so sorry to hear about Peggy. Please tell her that Mitzi and I will be sending positive thoughts and prayers for her. And tell Bill that I think of him often. We were a pretty good pitching duo at one time.

Marilyn Kelly (Palmer)

Debbie, I am so sorry to hear about Peggy. I will add her to our prayer list at church and keep her and Bill in my prayers as well. Please keep us informed as to how she is doing.

Lynn, we did have a wonderful time in Tally and I should have gotten a picture of Caron and me jumping in the ocean with our clothes on. It was too hard to resist. The water was so clear and warm. You are so right about friends and family. We all need to stay in touch so we can help each other if it's just a kind word. You can never have too many friends and this class reunion was so good for all of us.

Susan found out her daughter is having a little boy and he will be here around 12/1/09. Susan and Jim will be the best grandparents. Jim will have him riding a horse at 9 mos.

Let's keep this going, talk when we can, laugh when we can and pray for each other all we can!! Love ya all!

Oh, Debbie, I am so sorry. I read Bill's profile on the Class of 68 website and he and Peggy sound like a wonderful couple. Will keep their family on my prayer list.

Chad, Mark and I enjoyed seeing you and playing the Kelly Plantation Course. Fun. Charlie said, "Chad does not know you as Bill does he?" I laughed and shook my head. No. We arrived home today. Tired after having so much fun :)))

George, we played the Reunion Disk loud all the time in the condo. Our theme song was "BE Young, Be Foolish, But Be Happy". We all danced to it every night. :) Daughter Morgan said, "Yal had the Very best Music!" She was right of course.

Debbie, please keep us posted on Peggy and Bill. They will continue to be close to our heart and in our prayers. Enjoyed your pictures on Facebook.

Jobanna, did Leroy get any rain?

We woke up to thunder and lightening this morning. We have gotten 1/2 inch on one farm and 2/10 on another. I am so thankful.
Everyone have a great day.
Chad I heard on MPR that y'all are under a flash flood warning.

Sam (Sambo) Fleming

Hey Debbie,

I am really sorry to hear about Peggy's illness. Of course I am concerned for her but also Bill. It's hard on everyone. Prayer and a positive attitude definitely make a difference in the outcome. My pet peeve is dealing with patients who's doctors play God and give them a time limit on life. No one knows but the Lord above. A short story for you. I had a patient who was diagnosed with cancer and given five months to live. Her husband was gravely ill and her son was disabled and totally dependent on she and her husband. I said it was a short story. I saw the lady as a patient over five years after she had been given her "death sentence" by the doctors and there was no sign of the tumor that threatened her life. When I asked her how she got through it all, she simply said I didn't have time to focus on myself and left it in the hands of the Lord. Let medicine explain that one. Please let Peggy and Bill know that they are in my prayers.

Love,
Sam Fleming

thanks to everyone who has expressed your concern for bill and peggy. they are still in the "waiting game" stage. she had a "pet scan" and a biopsy on a lymph node in her neck today. all these reports will take a few days to come back. they will go home and the drs. will contact them when the surgery will take place. please pray for peace and patience as they wait...but especially for healing.

Debbie, I am praying for Peggy and Bill to get what they need each day during this journey.

Debbie,
I was so sad to learn about Peggy. She is on my prayer list. My thoughts and prayers also for Bill and the children. God is so good and prayers are powerful. Thinking of you.
