MP - Glad you are back. Know you had a great time traveling with Sam. You and Joe are very brave!

Sulee is doing great! School started last week so she has her hands full with the little third graders. It was a very full summer for her. Got pregnant, started building a new house, finished her Master's program, and PASSED her comps! They are naming the baby Jackson Adam Blansett, and hopefully, he will be here around Thanksgiving! Reckon I need to start my Christmas shopping now!

Rayner and Frank, I love you guys!

Just read in the paper where Ramona Rhodes Sanders mother passed away August 12. There is an online guestbook sponsored by the funeral home. Her mother's name was Mary Rizzo Rhodes.

Mary Pryor,

Those are the neatest pictures!! Jennifer is doing such a great job getting all those pictures up. Did bring back lots of memories. Think I loved Soloman days so much more than GHS days. You weren't the only one that had a crush on Coach Dickerson. Glad you enjoyed.

Wish I could remember all these teachers but I went to E.E.Bass. It was fun as I recall. Mr. Solomon was one of a kind. I remember getting an F in home economics because I put a cup of baking soda in my waffles instead of 1 teaspoon. They ran all over the counter. Needless to say I didn't read the recipe very well. Mrs. Tumey was my teacher. I do remember Coach Paul in high school and he was so nice. Wonder where he is now?

Have not heard from Linda Burnett lately. The last I heard, her husband had been diagnosed with prostate cancer. Need to add them to our prayer list.

MP & Becky, Susan is in for a treat when her grandson gets here. She has no idea how she is going to feel when she first sees that little boy. No way to describe your baby having a baby.

I sure hope to make it to Kenny's son's benefit. I know it will be wonderful.

Take care all...headed out of town for the weekend! mkc

thanks for all your kind comments and prayers for bill and peggy...if you have not been to caringbridge.org, peggy had 41 lymph nodes removed from her neck and only 7 were infected and that is what the dr. expected from her scans and mri...God is Good and still on His Throne and in the miracle business daily.

everyone is still having fun on the "forum" and it is relaxing for me to read all the different conversations.

frank and rayner, you are in my thoughts and prayers. i pray that your pain will be controlled and for you and rayner to have the peace that only comes from our Heavenly Father.

Rayner and Frank
I think about you and pray for both of you every day. Just want you to know that Tommy and I love you guys and have had many conversations about all the great, fun times that the four of us had together over the years..
Rayner, Wish I could have come up to visit months ago.

I LOVED SOLOMON, too!

MP - Remember how Miss Webb taught us to conjugate to rhythm? I see; You see; he, she, it sees!

Coach Dickerson was a hottie! Wonder where he is now?

I was so glad not to go back to Bass, because I was very scared of Mr. Solomon. But I remember that one of the teachers (I think Mrs Cason or her sister), would give you an A if you whistled "Dixie"

Also, I remember I was standing outside of the gym at Bass eating a fudge popsicle when we got the news that Kennedy had been shot.

Just got an email from Dottie Dodd about Doug Dodd.

Please put Doug and Connie Dodd on your prayer list. Doug has lymphoma, and will be going to the Dr. next week to find out about treatment. From what the email reads this is a reoccurance, and is his second time to go through treatments.

Linda Dianne Burnett (Kistner)

Happy Sunday morning to all. It is beautiful here today.

I have not been home long enough to post anything in a while. It has been a hectic summer. Leaving again tomorrow morning for San Antonio and will be back Wednesday night. I want a time card with Delta.

As Marilyn told you Ken has been diagnosed with prostate cancer but from what we know now it was caught very early. He will be having surgery in Birmingham October 6 at St. Vincent's. This was caught during his routine physical and word to all of my male classmates - go have a PSA. There is nothing in the definition of the big C word that spells vanity.

Marilyn, we really need to do lunch again. As soon as things slow down I will give you a call.

Susan and Mary Pryor - sorry Mary Ann and I missed you last weekend when we were in Jackson. We went to the 60th anniversary of the St. Dominic's nursing school where she graduated. We managed to shop and eat our way through Jackson. MP - if you saw a strange name on your caller ID it was my work phone - Teximara.

Love and prayers to all - Linda

Linda,
So glad to hear that Ken's prostate cancer was caught early. My dad was diagnosed with that years ago and his was early also. He had radioactive seed implants and he has done great. His was also caught through routine PSA test. Hope all goes well with his surgery and I will keep both of you in my prayers...

Hey precious friends. Leroy's dad died this morning while we were in church. He had french toast for breakfast. God is good.

Linda- My husband was diagnosed with prostate cancer 10 years ago this past March. His cancer was found through a routine PSA. He had surgery and has now been cancer free for 10 years. To all male class memebers, I urge you to have your PSA tested. It can save your life.

Jobana-- I will be praying for you and your family during this time of sorrow.

Rayner and Frank-- I am praying for you both. Be strong and trust in the Lord.

I hope everyone has a good week!

Susan,

Coach David Dickerson still lives in Greenville on Jefferson Drive over by Em Boyd (our alma mater).
He is, and has been for many years, married to Dicky Watson's sister, Linda (a beautiful lady to this day). They have two daughters, Mina and Erin. One, or maybe both, of them represented Greenville in the Miss Mississippi pageant several years ago.

Chad, ole friend. If you need us, you know that we are only a call away. I'm thinking about you. Had a great time with you this summer in Destin. Remember now, just call if you need someone to listen.

LeRoy, sorry to hear about your daddy. Thank you Jobanna for keeping us informed. The Delta has dwindled some more.

Nicky and Rayner....Frank do you remember that I used to call you Nicky? I am so glad that we all shared a childhood. And even though sometimes it seems so long ago
in the scope of things it really was only yesterday. I wouldn't be at all surprised if God gave us one more chance somewhere to be together and "young again".

Does anyone know what happened to David Wesley. He was a science teacher at Bass Jr High. He and Raymond Bell were good buddies. I saw Coach Bell many years ago at some steak house on 82 around How Joy. It seems like David was with Ducks Unlimited at one time. What about Mrs. Cockeran (Bass History Teacher)?

Scooter

Kenny Ware - Kathy and I will be there Saturday night for the benefit raising college fund money for little Kenny's boys. Should be a lot of fun!

For everyone's info, Big Kenny's son(and his friends) worked for me when I owned a video business. They were all great boys. Kenny and his band brought a breath of fresh air to this old fogey. Please go to the website -www.warecollegefund.com and donate if you can, but at least browse the "cool" website. Loosing Kenny was tragic.

Jobana and Leroy - Our thoughts and prayers go out to you, Sherri, Mike and the whole family during this time of loss. God bless.

Chad - I hope life gets better with each waking day. The Lord is with you and your family.

Frank and Rayner - You are in our prayers today.....clainy

Ronnie Harper - good to see you on the forum. Wish we would have invited Coach Dickerson to the reunion.

Chad - Hang in there, Buddy. You have lots of classmates praying for you.

Marilyn Kelly (Palmer)

Chad, so sorry to hear about all your troubles. Let me know if there is anything that I can do to help. Remember
God promises he will not put on us more than we can bear.

Jobana, sorry to hear about the loss of Leroy's father. I know how it feels. Alot of us on this site have lost one or both parents and understand the depth of this loss.

Frank & Rayner, you and your family are on our prayer list at church. My church is a small country church with
alot of people who know how to get on their knees and pray.

Kenny, I can't make it to the benefit for your son but I know it will be a huge success.

Susan, glad Sulee liked Jackson's gift. I just had to give him his first blanket.

Like I have always said, this website has been a blessing for all of us. Love you all, Marilyn

For all of you drooling Coach Dickerson ladies, Dave and Linda sit right next to me at church(FUMC). He is still quite handsome... I guess(from a ladies point of view). Linda always wears a different hat each sunday.

fyi - Nell Thomas has always been head of the FUMC history department. She is stepping down because of age and Linda is taking over.
