Lynn & Jobanna, we did have a really good time Friday night. It was not planned, it just happened. We all found out at the last minute we were heading to Jackson the same time for different reasons. Pat contacted each one of us and made this discovery so we met at the last minute and ate dinner together. Chris and his wife just happened to be there when we walked in. What a pleasant surprise! Jim's work truck was broken down so Susan and him were headed from Camden to eat and joined us. Those kind of unplanned gatherings are the best sometimes. We hated that we did not have time to invite everyone but we will certainly plan the next gathering weeks ahead. It was so nice to meet Pat's sister and her husband. Just want everyone to know that Pat has a sister that is as much if not more fun than he is. She and her husband fit in quite well.

Lynn, can't wait for football season to start and I hope to see you when FL and MSU play. Love Tim Tebow (sp).

Susan, try the products I left with you and let me know what you think. So glad we caught up with you and Jim before you got out to range. Will mail Sulee's gift to you to give to her. I better not find out you opened it.

Sam, what can I say. Always good to see you. You always
have a smile on your face! Wish we had taken the time
in high school to get to know each other better. Pat is now the brother I never had so adding you to that list.

Our class reunion was such a blessing for all of us. We
have been given a second chance to get to know each other again and I love it!

Sam (Sambo) Fleming

Marilyn's comments made me think of something. The reunion was great but too short and a lot of people to get around to. I know I did not speak to everyone there. For those interested, I would like to get together more often and with it well advertised in advance. Pat called me about last Friday the week before. I was taking my dad to Greenville to visit his sister and go to my mother's grave, so I just drove on down to Ridgeland that night. I am so thankful for all the friends I made while living in Greenville. I have been all over the place in the military and through my profession, but I have never made friends like those of you from Greenville. Let's make an effort not to let time get away from us.

Marilyn,
Glad you guys got together and had so much fun. I live too far away for many trips to MS, but will look forward to the ones I can make(ie. Starkville in Oct, Go Gators). I do hope that we get to see you, and many others, then. We will make a plan when it gets closer.

Sam,
I totally agree with you about getting together more often. Everyone will not always be able to come, but when ya can come, ya come!! I agree about the friends we made in high school. It is amazing how you can reconnect after so many years. We are very blessed!!!

Chad, the rat looked pretty good but I would want to see it "live" first. In the meantime I'll stick with my own wild procurements, boar, antelope ,etc.

Pat Williams

Randy, I agree with you. I am not eating any RAT. I have hunted all over this country. Killed mule deer and elk by the truck load in Montana over the past 25 years. Elk meat is outstanding. Killed a bear in 1989, will not kill any more. Bad. Couldn't find enought stuff to put on it to kill the taste.

You eat RAT, your stones are bigger than mine.

peggy came thru the almost 13 hours surgery very well.
the drs. were pleased with everything so far. they took the vent out today and she even took a few sips of water...which was great...because they had removed a lot of muscle in her neck getting the node(s) out. she will have phy. therapy on her neck to regain range of motion. thank you for all your prayers. you may go to caringbridge.org and read about her story and sign the guestbook.

Pat Williams asked me to put this on the forum. He got an email from Rayner England yesterday and this is what it said. "Things are not well here. Frank is getting weaker and weaker and has decided to discontinue the treatments in Philadelphia because they make him feel so bad. I am praying that we will have the time to get back to the beach since that is the place he loves the most----it brings him great comfort. Please pray for us, and thanks for thinking about us. Friends mean the world to both Frank and me during this difficult time. Love, Rayner."

If that does not humble us all, nothing will. Please
keep all our classmates and their families who are ill
in your thoughts and prayers each day.

her.

Marilyn,
Thanks for the info on Frank. We all need to keep them in our prayers. Frank is a joy to know. When he was a kid, he always seemed to have a smile on his face, probably cause he usually was up to something. Ha.

Carol Mosow (Leach)

I talked to Perry this week and Frank thinks the cancer has spread in his joints. He is now bedridden and probably won't go for anymore treatments. When I talked to Rayner the other day she was whispering and sounded so depressed. We all need to pray for a miracle for Frank. I get so upset when I talk about him but I know you guys want to know the latest.

Jobana Gaye Larson (Frey)

Thank you, Carol for the information and for the reminder to pray for pain free days and for God's loving presence in their lives.

Susan Hughes (McCarty)

Carol, thanks for the update on Frank.

Jobana, your words of hope and prayer are exactly what Jim and I feel.

Rayner, We love you and Frank very much!

Please make sure ya'll look at this week's Clarion Ledger. There is a GREAT article about Viking, and our sweet, handsome Joe Sherman is in it.

I understand that Frank and Rayner monitor this forum and I would just like to say to Frank:

Frank, not a day goes by that I do not remember you and Rayner fervently in my prayers. I pray that God will grant you the peace, and strength that only He can provide during the great storms in our lives. He has help me through several. Even though I have not seen you in 40 years, I will always remain thankful for knowing you and what a good outlook on life you had and how friendly you were me. If it is God's will that I never see you again in this life, I will look for you in heaven!

Chad, I am used to waiting.
My precious Ulysses is going off to Ole Miss Thursday. We are having a big send off dinner at our house Wednesday night. I asked him what he wanted for graduation and he said " a good pair of walking shoes". Can you tell he is not MY birth child??? So it is off to Stein Mart or wherever on Tuesday to buy shoes. Please keep him in your prayers this week and next.
I have decided that for some reason I love to talk here and not on Facebook. More personal, I think. Love you all.
To Frank and Rayner: We prayed for you in church today. We have a new priest named Betsy and she is awesome. Know that I love you both.
Off to cook for Leroy, who is still in the field. To all the Baptists, the "ox is in the ditch". :)

Hey everyone,

Joe and I have been in and out of town all summer. Though I have been remiss in posting, it has been nice to 'keep up' with ya'll through the forum. Joe and I have had so many wonderful conversations about the reunion. I have not forgotten the great times we shared. Those of you I have been close friends with and those I wish I had known better but am honored to call my friend now, hold a special place in my heart:)

GS- Joe and I just took a trip and baby SAM:) was on board and fussin' like we were beating him! There is no bar too low for us 'cause we had your fabulous CD in and were dancing in the car like crazy grands do! As my mother would say 'Any port in a storm.'
Worked like a charm. SAM thought we were so talented.

Jobana-Please call me if you have time to grab lunch or come by if you go to Stein Mart. I am thrilled for your sweet Ulysses except I wish he had gome to MSU:)

Susan-Ditto above:) Also, we need an update on Sulee:)

Debbie, I am keeping up with Peggy's amazing journey through Caringbridge. What a wonderful site. Thanks for letting us know she was registered there.

I too can't say anything more eloquently than Jobana did last week about Frank and Rayner. I send my love and pray for peace and comfort for the whole family.

Marilyn, Chad, Mike, Mike, Sam ,Lynn and all the rest of you regular posters: Thanks for keeping us all connected.

In the bonds of GHS,
MP
