Preston Hugh Lee, Jr.

Karen and I were arrived in Oxford last Tuesday for our son, Preston's, wedding on Saturday. We were at Jack's graveside funeral on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. He was buried in Oxford in his wife's family plot - the Ellis family. Jack's wife, Janet, was extremely together as were his children, Melissa, Brannon and Mary Ellis. Many, many friends were in attendence including Betty Champion Dickey and her husband, Danny. Danny and Jack were very close friends - walked together each day - as well as their families being somewhat parallel and friends. Jack's mother is still living, and we spoke with her and with his brother, Bill. Bill is a doctor in Tupelo, as was Jack. Jack's funeral was a complete testimony to Jack's and his famlies' Christian faith. He is leaving a remarkable legacy.

Hugh, thank you for the info on Jack's family. It does seem that he left a wonderful legacy for all his friends and family to remember. Frank and Jack were both wonderful high school friends and grew up to be men of character and integrity.

of your son, Preston. I know you are very proud and happy for him and his new wife.

Meriwether Montgomery Thanks for all my birthday wishes...got to really enjoy my last year in the 50's decade...certainly looking forward to my 60's but cannot actually believe I am saying that. I remember thinking 60 was so old when I was younger...not anymore!!

Hey Y'all..

Hope 2010 is a great one for all! I can't tell you how often I think about the fun we had at the reunion. How wonderful it was to reconnect as well as get to know some that I hadn't had the opportunity to know well in high school! Whoever is responsible for contacting the people that did this website, I thank you. I have passed the info on to friends with upcoming reunions encouraging them to use it. I haven't seen a more user friendly site and surely a great way to give us a way to keep in touch. I guess we are growing 'old' together.:)

Becky, thank you so much for letting us know about Sandra. I remember her so well. She was always smiling
and happy. You are right, life is short. It seems like we were just in high school and now we are all close to
retirement age. Yikes! I try to count my blessings everyday even when it's not that easy. Then you see
happenings like the earthquake in Haiti and compared
to that, I don't have a worry in the world. Again,

Daniel Lee Hall Mighty Mouse I will be 30+30 sometime this next school year but....I disagree with the # 2 oldest. You have missed 2 others ahead of me excluding yourself. I would have been one of the youngest in my class if I had not been held back in the second grade for looking up my dear teachers dress. Oh well, bad habits never change.
