I lived in Gitmo from 1973 to 1975. I left Gitmo at the end of my sophomore year. Went on to Rota Spain and graduated there. Enlisted in the US Army, I was stationed in Germany for 3 years.
I learned to drive on one of the many back roads while in Gitmo. My first car was a re-re-built 1963 VW bug. Which was only 15 years old and in Gitmo standards was a fairly new car.
I worked at the commissary bagging groceries for the two years I lived there. Once a month flights would come in from Jamaica and/or Puerto Rico, the downtown area was always very hectic at that time of the month.
Today I operate by a small bookkeeping business. My interest was sparked way back in a general business class with Mrs. Richardson
