Graduated from Hatboro-Horsham when my father was stationed at Willow Grove. Went to Ohio State, and joined the Marine Corps when they hit the Marine Barracks in Lebanon.
School Story:

Was only in GITMO for Junior High and part of freshman year.
I thought living in Gitmo was great. Horseback riding to the beach, bicycling, running, hiking, snorkeling. Pools, movies at the ampitheaters. The Teen Club.
I remember checking out an outboard and taking it across the bay to Hicackle (sp?) beach (the impact area), just to see if we'd make it.
What an interesting time, and place.
