Robert Nagy - Class Of 1969

Survived By: wife of 30 yrs Pili Nagy, older brother Jimmy Nagy older sister Lori Nagy nephew and other family, coworkers, and close friends

Bobby ("nags") was a retired 20-year Air Force (AF) Major Weapons System Officer, flying in Phantom F4 fighter jets, a graduate of the USAF Fighter Weapons School. He attended Embry-Riddle Aeronautical School. He was still working in the aeronautical field designing weapons for the Air Force at a company at Eglin AF Base in FL. He lived in Niceville and Destin, FL, and was married 30 years to Pili, the love of his life, an RN originally from Madrid. Bobby lived with his family in Cuba 1956-1958 when his naval officer father, Bill Nagy, was stationed there. Bobby attended kindergarten and first grade in Gitmo. Then his family briefly lived in Jacksonville, FL, before settling in Livingston, NJ, where Bobby graduated from high school in 1969. Bobby was a boy scout, played ice hockey, liked the late 60s music bands (Cream for one), enjoyed hiking in Switzerland, had a cat, and enjoyed life to its fullest. Bobby's brother and sister, Jim Nagy and Lori Nagy are grateful for Pili's devotion.

After a military career as Air Force pilot he settled down in Niceville and then in Destin.
A very intelligent and hard worker, he loved his work at Survice Engineering Company as Subject Matter Expert for the last eighteen years. He was a great talker, funny story teller and he enjoyed life at the fullest. He was loved by everyone who met him.
Family, friends, travel, good food, wine and cigars were at the top of his list. Hiking was one of his passions, and in the last few years he enjoyed his hiking trips to Switzerland, Spain, and France. With the golden heart he had, he always made sure to bring a little souvenir to everybody and never forgot a single one.
His parents William Albert and Helen Maria preceded Bob in death. He is survived by his wife of 30 years "Pili", sons Jose and Ivar, daughter in law Cheryl, Brother Jim, Sister Lori, and his best friend, who he always referred to as brother, Markus.

Lori Nagy (1967)

Bobby, my brother, had Shirley Ebetino for first grade in Cuba.  His friend from then, Bobby Moore, was someone Bobby always wanted to reconnect with.

Also, I forgot to mention Debbie Searle, former sister-in-law of Bobby's who always remained close and thought of Bobby as a brother.  And Bobby's long-time Air Force friend and best man at Bobby's wedding to Pili was Mike Casey
