Don Shelton Shelton

Attended my first year of college at Arlington State College (later to become the University of Texas at Arlington); attended four years at Southern Missionary College (now Southern Adventist University). Graduated from there in 1969 with a degree in Theology. Served as a pastor in three districts in the Carolina Conference of Seventh-day Adventists; in 1978 became a traveling evangelist serving in the Carolina Conference, Kentucky-Tennessee Conference and Rocky Mountain Conference (Colorado and Wyoming); in 1985 moved to Dallas/Ft. Worth to pastor; in 1987 moved to Pierre, South Dakota to serve as a Ministerial Director later to become the President of the Dakota Conference (North and South Dakota) serving until 1993; moved back to the Carolina Conference to serve as Assistant to the President; in 2000 moved to Montgomery, AL to serve as Ministerial Director for Gulf States Conference (Alabama, Mississippi and the panhandle of Florida). Retired in the Spring of 2012 and moved to Cleveland, TN where my wife grew up. In the Spring of 2013 became the part-time pastor for a small church in Decatur, TN about fifty miles from where we live. My wife is the care-giver for her 90 year old mother.
