Kudos to the planning group - fantastic work. Glad we were able to make this event a priority this year. It was a joy to catch up with so many, hear your stories and recall ones long forgotten. When we're through playing planes, trains and automobiles this week I'll post pictures from the picnic.

Peace and joy to you all! Looking forward to seeing you all sooner than 20 yrs.

The Reunion Committee did a WONDERFUL job putting all of this together!! Thank you so much to all of you for the hard work and time away from you families!! I had a GREAT time visiting, dancing, and laughing at memories. The picture video had a good compilation of different people at various ages. It was a GREAT SUCCESS!! How about our next one in 5 years???

I have to say that our class ROCKS! Just seeing everyone have a fantastic time was so worth all of the effort that went into this. The appreciation everyone showed was outstanding! Last night it took a long time for me to fall asleep because I kept thinking about so many little moments that made me smile. Seeing everyone reconnect with old friends was so fabulous, the hugs, the laughter, spouses building friendships with our friends and spouses, Ken Fowler busting his move on the dance floor, the teachers being so proud and honored to share the celebration with so many students they helped shape into the adults they are today, sitting on the bench watching our next generation playing in the splash pad, the candlelight dancing off the faces of our classmates who passed away, the slide show with so many of our high school moments captured, the shouting of the names of their buddies pictures on there, the applause for the committee pics, the shout outs for Erik, all the thank yous and compliments, how cool Barb's accent is, the recollection of so many memories, high school insecurities thrown out the window, people saying we can't wait another 10 years so let's do it in 5, John's prayer before dinner, Nelson's speech, sharing in Bryan and Melinda's 16th anniversary, the birthdays... You truly are the class with the most CLASS. Thank you for making this such an awesome experience!

Just want to comment like everyone else, Job well done by the committee. It was far better than what I expected. Best of luck to all in their life and hope it wont have to be so long to do something like this again.
Maybe a yearly picnic at Wicker Park

I agree, a yearly get together would be great and realy not that expensive if we all chip in, it was nice to talk to everyone and the spouses. Nice to see mr. kish on sunday also. one suggestion name tags at every event for those of us who are memory challenged, and like myself ( alot less hair and about 2 more pounds, LOL )

I had a blast helping this last 9 months or so plan this truly wonderful reunion. Our classmates are the best group of 25 year olds I know!lol It was wonderful to talk to old friends and even people I didn't necessarily hang with in school. We have become mature awesome adults and it showed all weekend long! I am so thankful I decided to be a part of this whole thing and would do it again anyday! Cheryl,Melanie and Kim you guys are so exceptional words cannot describe how great a job you did.I just followed your lead! The committee Rocks!Love you all! Stay in touch!

To the class:

I have DJed many class reunions and have seen the good, the bad and the ugly. I can say, without a doubt, that the '89 Governors were an awesome class to work with. Cheryl and the crew really spent a lot of time and energy to put it together. I hope everyone enjoyed the reunion as much as Vesna and I did.

Let's Go Governors, Let's Go!!!

Just to let all of you know...if your e-mail address was in our reunion booklet...it is now in MY e-mail address book. If that is NOT ok...let me know and I will kindly remove it. (and I won't even be offended!) LOL

Good morning to all, once again, my hat goes off to Melanie, Cheryl & Rhonda for convincing me to attending the reunion. This reunion was well put together, great job committee. Now lets take a break, and as Larry Houchin mention, lets try to get togethter on a yearly basis or the next event. Remember I still owe Tracy, Melanie, Fay and Cheryl the "Carlton Dance" & "Ricky Martin", lol
Oh well everyone take care, God Bless and hope to see y'all in the future.

Kudos to DJ Boris for the awesome throw back music!!!

After reunion survey is up and running, take a few minutes and give us your comments. Everyone's comments and ideas will make the difference on what we plan next:)

The Class of 89’ thirtieth anniversary of our graduation is quickly upon us...

I’m in the fact finding stage of planning this event.

Is anyone interested in a multi-graduating class reunion??

So I need to reach a general consensus for not only what type of event we wish to have, but also when.  Winter, Spring, Summer, or Fall 2019??

All interested parties please PM me here or on Facebook with your contact information for I may add you to the data base.

Please include:

-Best way to contact.

Email, phone, FB

-One guest or two.

How were you known back then...Nick name, Maiden name, etc.?

Are you local or out of the general Chicagoland area?

Season preference in 2019.

Also looking for some volunteers to help spearhead this event...

Thank you and please share with any Morton Grads you may know...🙏🏽

Thanks... Deb
