Steve Jackson
The reunion was great.Everyone had a good fime. When we were at Shirley's the story Chopper made about Romulus was the high point of the evening. As I think back, the story of Romulus is a legend. The classes of '71,'72','73 and '74 will always remember what happened that day,and it is legend that only those classes that witnessed the carnage that happened to Romulus that morning. Those classes were traumatized and also amazed that Romulus said the show must go on.He was a bloody mess and Mr Knapp and some other saved him from certain death. As I have said,I have seen people get killed that didn't bleed as much as Romulus did.I can talk about stuff like that because the Army has made sure that I have the best psychotrophic medications that money can buy.Chopper did a lot of research to get the story of Romulus told.Chopper was in rare form and related the story well. The jumbo picture of the Aardvark gave everyone a good visual effect so ones that didn't see the program Romulus put on that day understand why we were traumatized because of it.
The picnic at Valley Forge was wonderful. The barbeque and all the trimmings was good.Pam Simerly's husband made a flash drive of music that came out during the '71 thru '74 years.I especially enjoyed seeing and talking to classmates at the reunion.I looked around and didn't recognize some classmates because thy had changed so much. Some had not changed a bit.except a little bit of age that has gotten to all of us through the years. The years have been especially hard on me,
As I close I must say that the preparations by Linda,Jan,Penny,Gary,Margie,Pam,and Chopper and his wife need to be recognized.I will give them a Bravo Zulu for their efforts.I sure hope that some other classmates that couldn't make it to this one can make it to the next reunion in 5 years.
In closing,if you couldn't make it to this reunion,it will be good to see veryone at the next one,if you can come. This is Stoney Jackson signing off.
