01/02/09 10:55 PM #15     Nakia Lewis any updates? what weekend is the reunion? what events? technically speaking...its at least 6-8 months away. im ready to plan a summer vacation and i need a definite set in stone reunion date asap. where are the class officers? have they helped to plan anything?

01/07/09 09:54 PM #17     David Ashe Currently I have scheduled 2 walk throughs for this week and that includes making sure that dates are available for the late August time frame. 01/12/09 04:54 PM #19     David Ashe At the meeting we discussed the venue the events. Currently we have Saturday Planned and are almost set on Friday. We are getting our last confirmations on the dates for the reunion, I will be posting the dates for the reunion this week. I had planned on posting it by tonight but I didnt hear back from the venue today, but I will know the definitive by tomorrow and then I can post it on here. We also talked about potential ways to raise money for the reunion. More details will be posted tomorrow.

We will be having a meeting this weekend to discuss the specifics of the reunion, for those who can attend it will be Saturday the 17th from 1 to 3. More News coming soon. Take care, David Ashe

01/17/09 09:49 PM #23     Chinita Ray It's my impression that David definitely took everyone's input into consideration and October was available for the venues contacted. There are still a few months until it happens, so now that dates have been established, perhaps everyone can start planning logistics for travel and kids. Details will come as the committee is able to solidify them. David, thanks for taking this on. And thanks so much for the folks working on it! Everyone can help my making sure that their class of 99 friends are signed up for this sight so that they can receive updates as they are released. The committee is making progress!

02/09/09 05:23 PM #30     Nakia Lewis if people are coming from out of town....will there be rooms blocked off at a discount price at springhill suites? also...is there a themed attire for the party on sat night? is there an after party, since it ends at 11? just wondering since that was kinda early.

02/09/09 09:05 PM #31     David Ashe There are rooms available and blocked off at the hotel, they are not at a discounted rate. The earlier people book rooms the better the price will be. The end time of the Formal is flexible, I was told if the bars are hopping we can keep going, if the hotel isnt making any money then midnight is our close time. There isnt a sponsored after party, however we have discussed potentially going to McFaddens and seeing if the back room is available, but again it wont be included in the price of the ticket. At the meetings we are discussing themes and other decorating ideas, as well as much needed fundraising. It is my hope that if anyone has any ideas on decorating, fundraising, or themes that they come to the meetings. The next meeting will be on a week night so that the people who cant be there on the weekends can make it to a meeting, the meeting after that will be on a weekend so that whoever cant be there on a week night can be at the meeting. Hope to see everyone soon and remember to come to the meetings so that everyones ideas can be heard.
