Bennett had just arrived with his family to Fort Monroe from Subic Bay, The Phillipines in the sunner of 1965. He was an amazing well-rounded and well-traveled Navy brat who landed at an Army post called Fort Monroe and adjusted very well. Bennett was friendly and affable and someone who was very engaging. I found him intellectually stimulating. We made plans to go to law school together. He was a successful lawyer and a friend to many. He was that way. God Bless you, my friend.
