HAMPTON — Malvin Tyler Woodley Jr., 58, died Tuesday, Sept. 28, 2004.

A native and lifelong resident of Hampton, Tyler was a 1966 graduate of Hampton High School. He had served in the Army National Guard and was a member of First United Methodist Church Fox Hill.

Mr. Woodley is survived by his daughter, Lisa E. Tolley and husband, John, of Hampton; grandchildren, Brandon W. Peck and Morgan Faith Tolley; brothers and sisters, Barbara W. Ellis and husband, Robert J. Ellis, of Myrtle Beach, S.C., Carolyn W. Bunch and husband, Ronald S. Bunch, of Hampton, George C. Woodley and wife, Ingrid K. Woodley, of Sunnyvale, Calif., Mary Jane Elliott and husband, Robert E. Elliott, of Hampton, and Kay W. Willis of Hampton; nine nieces and nephews and five great-nephews.
