Jerry Lee Copley, 59, of Chocowinity, N.C., formerly of the Hampton area, died Friday, Aug. 12, 2005, at Pitt County Memorial Hospital in North Carolina.  Jerry worked as an educator, administrator and mentor for nearly 30 years around the commonwealth including King George, Wise and Lancaster counties.  He recently retired in May in North Carolina with his loving wife, Loretta Lee.  Jerry is survived by his two children, Cole and Darragh, and two brothers, Rocky and Tony.  Visitation will be held Monday, Aug. 15, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home in Hampton. Services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 16, at the funeral home. 

NOTE:  Last information the reunion committee had for Jerry was 1990 - he was principal of Pound High School.
