Peggy Jo Honicker (Wright) - Class Of 1965

Peggy Jo Honicker (Wright)

YORKTOWN, VA - Peggy Honicker Wright, 66, passed away Tuesday, November 19, 2013. Peggy was a lifelong resident of the Peninsula. She was a 1966 graduate of Kecoughtan High School, and was a former member of Grafton Baptist Church. Peggy was a loving wife, mother and grandmother; and was always there for anyone that needed help. She loved summer and the sun, boating and the beach, and just spending time with her family and friends. There just aren't words to describe how amazing Peggy was. She and Bud were high school sweethearts, and they were married shortly after high school. They weren't just husband and wife, they were very best friends. Peggy had the wonderful gift of compassion, she made it a point to go out of her way to help those who needed her. She was an excellent listener, and was a genuine source of comfort, whether it was emotionally, financially, or whatever was needed, she was always there with moral support when she was needed. She was a rare person indeed, and she will be forever missed by those who loved her the most. Peggy is survived by her loving husband of 46 years, Wilson "Bud" Wright Jr.; a son, Wilson "Will" Wright III of Yorktown; a daughter Shannon Wright Nelson of York County; a niece Amy Estabrook; 2 grandchildren Chandler Nelson and his wife Kristi and Katie Nelson; and her former daughter-in-law Missy Wright. A graveside service will be held at 3:00 pm on Friday, November 22, 2013, at Peninsula Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 1-2:30 at Amory Funeral Home, Grafton. -
