David Oliver Trinkle - Class Of 1966

YORKTOWN - David O. Trinkle, 65, passed away unexpectedly on November 6, 2013.

David was a Maintenance Engineer with Macy's. He was a faithful member of Maranatha Baptist Church in Yorktown and active in the children's ministries. He served his country in the U.S. Army and was a Vietnam veteran. David is preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Lucile Trinkle.

He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Audrey J. Trinkle; three sons, David L., Mark E., and Shaun M. Trinkle; five grandchildren, Emilee-Anne, Dylan, Bradley, Christopher, and Wyatt, plus one on the way - all were the apple of his eye; three sisters, Becky Atwell, Debbie Easler, and Marty Cormier; two brothers, Steve and Phil Trinkle; six nieces and nephews, John and Mike Trinkle, Tory, Trey, Jackson, and Delilah Brock; and brother-in-law Dennis Matthews.

A viewing will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 12 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at Peninsula Funeral Home in Newport News. The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 13 at Maranatha Baptist Church in Yorktown with Pastor Dale Coffey officiating, and burial will follow at Parklawn Memorial Park in Hampton. Any memorials may be made to Maranatha Baptist Church.
