Denise M. Calamia Obituary

Denise M. Calamia, 60, of Harrisburg, passed away on Tuesday, March 26, 2024 at home surrounded by her loving family.

Born on March 11, 1964 in Harrisburg. She was employed by the Central Dauphin School District as an administrative assistant at the Cyber Academy.

Denise was a member of St. Catherine Laboure Catholic Church, Harrisburg. She was a loving, caring and devoted wife and mother. Her family was her greatest enjoyment and was always there supporting them in their academics and sports. Going to the beach in Delaware with her family was the highlight of her summers.

Surviving is her husband of 33 years, Vincent Calamia, her son, Anthony C. Calamia and his fiancé, Rita Gambino of Harrisburg, her daughter, Emily M. Calamia of Harrisburg, her mother, Donna L. (Challenger) Farver of Middletown, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Lynn H. Farver and her sister, Michelle L. Egresitz.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, April 3, 2024 at St. Catherine Laboure Catholic Church, 4000 Derry Street, Harrisburg, PA 17111. Visitation will be from 9:30 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday in the church.
