If you have not RSVP, even if you are not coming, please let me know.
Friday day (Sept. 20) - You may visit/tour our high school building on Grace Street between 9 am and 5 pm. There will be some classes going on so be respectful. First floor is closed for construction. I did a walk through on Thursday and it brought back pleasant memories for me. We are working on where you can park without getting a ticket. I am waiting to hear back from JMU. Thanks to Kathi Wise for making these arrangements!
Friday evening (Sept. 20) - Macado's 6 pm - 11 pm
There is additional parking right across from Macado's (Janney's Financial is at the end of that parking lot). There is parking also behind the mall 2061 Evelyn Byrd, Sherwin- Williams with several other businesses.
Macado's request payment in cash or start a tab with a credit card. Remember to close out your tab as there will be a 20% additional charge if you forget to close out.
As a reminder to drink responsibly. Please add Uber App to your phone, just in case needed. There are cab services, however, when I asked for recommendations Uber was suggested, not cabs. Please buy the Daily News Record next Friday, December 15. Look for an article about the Campbell Street Wall submitted by classmate, Carol Murphey Garner. 2024 will mark 90 years since construction was completed on the wall as our class celebrates a 50th reunion. Our hope is to convince the City of Harrisonburg to place a historical plaque on the wall. We are hoping it will make reference to the HHS Class of 74. Talk this idea up with any city officials you know. Way to go Carol!

Do y'all remember at our 40th class reunion, we joked about taking a cruise for our 50th. Well Carol and I aren't joking. On September 24, after the reunion,we along with our husbands are flying to Prague to begin a Viking River Cruise with stops in Germany and ending in Paris. We are inviting you to join us. I'm not sure how to put a link on this site but go to vikingrivercruises.com and look for the tour called Cities of Light. Prices start at $3,599 per person with very competitive airfares offered by Viking. To get this price you need to book by January 31 but only have to put $25 down.
If after looking at this you are as excited as I am and want to book it, please call our booking agent, Jennifer at 888-663-8454 ext. 8514. Give her our booking # 7900828. This will insure that we are on excursions together and will take $100 off each ticket purchased. (Full disclosure: Carol or I will get $100 off for each person who books on this number). Also if this is your first time sailing with Viking give Jennifer the code NTB24 which will give you $200 per person ship credit.
Carol and I have booked our own flights as we are tacking on some extra days in Paris and a two day stop over in Iceland.
Please give this some thought! Lee Anne McDonald Steffe
