Moved to New York after finishing the U. of Ky and working in radio and tv in Harrodsburg and Lexington. Started at ABC News in 1971. Semi retired from ABC in 2001. Do freelance writing for ABC News and documentaries. Won Writers Guild award in 2007. Working on two screenplays. An avid runner who used to run marathons like Boston, New York and Marine Corps.

Terrible tragedy hit our family last Sept. when Justin died unexpectedly at age 17. Justin was on the verge of a music career and planned study at Berklee School of Music in Boston. I am now involved in The Justin Veatch Fund, Inc. a non profit in his memory which provides scholarship money to graduates planning study in the fields of music and will sponsor programs to foster development of young emerging artists.
