Here is where you can post comments, memories, teacher stories etc - All registered classmates will see these and be notified of your posting.  PRIVATE messages can be sent on the profile of each classmate. Like ... who remembers such and such event at the Senior Prom - not unlike FB commentary or forums.  And there is also a secure link to FB through your class website called "Class Connection"

I'm wondering if anyone has copies of Haverford High's literary magazine, the name of which I can't remember, that was published at the end of every year. I had a story called "The Adventure of the Baby Bootee," a Sherlock Holmes spoof, in the issue that came out at the end of our sophomore year, and one called "Requiem for a Loner" in the issue published in our senior year. I no longer have copies of either the magazines or the original manuscripts. If anyone still has the issues and can scan and e-mail me, or photocopy and snail-mail me, the stories, I'd appreciate it.

Barry-

I was the Editor and have all the Pen & Inks from '62 to '64.  In '64 we took first place in Pa.  Send me your address through my email - BAR46642@AOL.COM  and I'll be happy to send you copies of your writing.

I didn't recall, Barbara, that you Pen and Ink people won that first place prize for the magazine. So glad Barry and Dennis asked about it.  Thank you for this website so we can remember more about our high school days.

Hi Barbara,

Thanks for your reply to Barry's email.  I was an Associate Editor of Pen and Ink and have most--but not all--of the issues from 1962 to 1964.  I had not remembered that the magazine won first prize in a competition.  But now that you mention it, I do remember a trip to Columbia University in NYC, where I think we must have gone to collect our prize, along with our faculty advisor, Mr. Shissler.  We went to see two plays; one was Oh Dad, Poor Dad, Mother's Hung You in the Closet and I'm Feelin' So Sad by Arthur Kopit.  Do you remember what the other play was?  I didn't care for it, so I've forgotten!

Joyce
