I remember her as a very gentle soul who never was angry or upset with everyone. Always had a smile on.Kathy Maxey (Forcier)
How lucky I was to call Maribeth my lifelong friend. She was my very first friend when we moved to Hemet & we were 7 years old at the time. We only lived a block apart & I practically lived at her house because there were always so many fun things to do! Her family always treated me like one of their own kids, but Georgiana could never make me like olives no matter how hard she tried....I still hate olives! I have so many memories flooding my brain right now & can't possibly express my feelings of sadness, yet I feel so honored to have been able to know her like I did. Maribeth was as beautiful on inside as she was on the outside! I pray that she is now at peace & I send my deepest sympathy to Randy, Jimmy, Adam, Bunny & the rest of her family & friends. God bless her for touching so many lives and making a difference. She will truly be missed by all who knew her.

Here is a beautiful picture of Mary Beth that was displayed at her Celebration of Life.

Maribeth sat behind me in one of our classes in the "main building" at HUHS. She was always friendly and upbeat; a real sweetheart. Her father, Don Currie, used to stop into "Starr's Market" frequently, and we received numerous cases of their olives from the "Georgiana Ranch" which we sold...good memories, all.

How sad to know that Maribeth has passed. I will always remember her as kind and gracious and always so thoughtful. She was a big part of the soul of our class that will always be missed while always remembered.

I didn't know Maribeth very well, other than having two classes with her over the last years before graduating. She was a nice person and it is always sad to hear of someones passing. Best wishes for her family.

Wow; this is a hard one. While I haven't seen Maribeth for several years I have always considered her a close friend. Her family epitomized the post WWII Hemet family where everyone knew everyone and worked for the betterment of the Community and the success of the next generation. Maribeth carried those desireable qualities into the Hemet Unified School District and made me, her many friends and the School District itself better because of her presence. She embodied the spirit of the Hemet we all loved and grew up in. You could ask a Freshman or someone who graduated ahead of the class of 1965 if they knew Maribeth Currie and the response would always be, "Maribeth? Oh, sure! She's a wonderful person." Thats the way her personallity and infectious smile effected everyone around her. I always admired the way she treated everyone the same; to her there were no social cliques or best friend groups, everyone was a " fellow classmate." And Maribeth was blessed with a dedicated and caring life-long parter in Randy. He wore his steadfast love for her on his sleeve and it served as an extraordinary example for all of us. While Maribeth is gone and we will all miss her, she will remain in the hearts and minds of all those she touched with a warm smile or kind word.

It is hard to see our classmates pass on. I spoke with Maribeth at the class reunion. You would not have guessed she would be gone so soon. She was smiling and friendly as always.

I have just returned from the funeral of one of my wife's cousins in Arkansas, and read about Maribeth. I saw her at the 50th Reunion where we had a nice chat. She was upbeat as always. We were not close friends, but we shared a few clases over the years at HUHS. Any passing of a classmate is sad, as everyone knew everyone; at least a little. She was very brave in the face of a very debilitating condition. She will be missed by all of us.
