I was in the class of 59.  I seem to recall that John and I were in the same session, if not, it was as if we had been because he was always the prefect gentleman and ever so present.  We were not friends and I am not sure he knew who I was.  We had no classes together,  I just wasn't that smart.  There are but a small handful of kids from the class of 59 who affected me as much as John.  In my eyes, he was as perfect a human being as was possible.  Like I said, I don't think he would have remembered me but I will never ever forget John.

I am so sorry to learn of John's passing.  He was a wonderful person who touched many lives in a very special way.  My deepest sympathies to his family.  Jill Dailey

John was on the Tennis team with me.  A gentleman, I agree; with a sense of humor;  i believe we teased each other about a variety of things, including tennis performance and School Council activities/attitudes, official and not.  Contacted me in the '70s (or was it the '80s?)  re donations for dialysis patients.  A good man to remember and honor.

I sat next to John at commencement. There were special awards that were given out and he received one of the most prestigious ones. At this time I have no idea what it was but, as he was getting up, I asked him, "Did you know about this?" In a very shocked manner he said that he did not. That was John.

We must have been at Edgewood Junior High together, but the only thing I remember about that is sleeping over a Billie Rosenhouse's house and playing the record of "Johnny is the boy for me."  I had such a crush on him.  I do remember that he also called me about a kidney transplant, but I can't remember the year that was.  I was shocked about that call for two reasons:  surprised that he needed a kidney, and that he called me.

John was a very special person--kind, bright and good company

We were friend after graduation and he touched all who knew him.

He will be missed but had been sick for quite some time.

I was so sorry to learn about John's death and feel bad that so much time has passed since he died. John and I got to know eachother and become friends when we were on the swimming team together. He was a leader, a great personality, and seemed to know everyone in the school!  I feel fortunate to have known him!
