Stan Zoller

Received BA from Lakeland (Wisconsin) College, MA, Roosevelt University. I've done additional course work at Stony Brook University, Hampton University, Indiana University and Kansas State University.

I spent 50+ years in journalism, journalism education.

Now retired, I am an active blogger and community activist for First Amendment right, civic education and engagement. I am a member of the Citizen Advisory Council of the Citizen Advocacy Center, a nonprofit organization "dedicated to building democracy for the 21st century by strengthening the citizenry’s capacities, resources, and institutions for self-governance."

In November, 2024, I received the inaugural Adviser First Amendment Leadership Award from the Journalism Education Association. The Award is presented to a JEA member whose work has actively supported, defended and fought for student journalists and their advisers on the local, state or national level.

We're also enjoying being grandparents to Reid, born in July of 2022.

Shoreline was my main focus, especially as sports editor senior year.
