If you would have told me when we graduated that the following stats would apply to me, I would not have believed you.
- I live 3 blocks from HPHS.
- Three generations of my family walked those halls every day.
- I married someone from rival Deerfield H.S.
- I maintain contact with former teacher(s) to this day.

When I tell kids who go to school now what the corridor from the cafeteria to the music wing (known to us as, the glass hall) was like in my day they are stunned in disbelief, and can't imagine it.

Most memories revolve around the gymnastics program, the annual show, the competitions, the joy of landing my first aerial. When my daughter was on the HPHS team, the changes (and what was still the same ole) surprised me. The "tricks" girls were doing made the standards of our day pale in comparison. But we were far more polished! Thanks coach Voss for not letting us throw anything sloppy.
