After 26 years of marriage I think the video said it all. That is to funny! Hope these guys will be able to handle our class reunion. It will be a blast! If your not on facebook, you need to. Alot of our classmates are on.

A few people are asking about a "Main Hotel" for the reunion... anyone have any ideas/thoughts?

One of our Classmates would like to get a copy of our 1979 & 1980 yearbooks... anyone know where she can get them?

Cheri,

My Sister, Mrs. Lambeth used to be the Yearbook advisor. I'll give her a shout and see if there is any way to find 1979/1980 yearbooks.

I know they have some on file at the Hobart Library, I don'tknow if they can be checked out, but it you could at least look through it and maybe make copies.

I think trying to coordinate a "main hotel" is a great idea. Since I haven't been in the area in forever, I'm not sure what hotels would be convenient, etc.

on61st&I-65 which is only 5 minutes from the Elks there are 3 hotels /Comfort INN, LEES INN,& DOLLAR INN, Now maybe 15 minutes to US 30 there are a bunch more . What I need to know is what people are interested in, sleeping, still partying, and exactly how many is a group. The more there is, I would think, the better rate.

Since there's not going to be a meal at the Reunion, anyone interested in meeting beforehand (or even Friday Evening) at a restaurant for dinner and drinks?  Ideas welcome!

First of all I think John Breezley's vast knowledge of the area motels is amazing!!--

Just kidding John :)    And Cheri I dont know about going to a nice restaurant-I

think our class would be more comfortable in some seedy, dark, dive :)

Hey Faten I didn't always own a house. Cheri I think that's a great idea, there are alot of options depends on what your hungry or thirsty for.

I think dinner would be great! Hard to believe that the reunion is just around the corner..

I agree with Faten...  a seedy dive it is...  John?  when & where?

Catherine Steffus (Northcott)

Let's plan on going to dinner beforehand!!  I think that would be great!

Is there really not going to be MUSIC at the reunion?  That would be a shame...the music helps bring back all of the memories!  SOMEBODY has to know of a DJ that wouldn't cost an arm and a leg.  Does anyone know of when the invites are to be sent...I need to start making travel plans!

06/24/10 03:45 PM #24

Carol Koselke (Massery)

We do have a D.J. for the reunion.

Well Cheri--if it's seedy dives you're looking for--I'm sure John Breezley knows

where they are and how far/close they are to all the area motels--I'm sorry John

I just couldnt resist :)

Yeah!  SO happy there's a DJ!!  I'm going to go look at the list of "missing" classmates and see if I can help find any of them.

I just got an e-mail from a friend in the class of 1979 who says, "Class 79 got an invite to attend your class reunion this summer.  Are you crazy or what?"  So, what's the scoop?  Are we merging with the 79'ers?

Anyone interested in setting up a live chat party (pre-reunion)?

07/04/10 06:09 AM #29

Randall Hetra

I'am sure there is still a bar down town that qualifies as a seedy little dive isnt there...lol

Well depending on the number of people a larger crowd would be better served at Duck Creek clubhouse. They have food (pizza, chicken wings, hamburgers, hot dogs) and a full bar. Gelsosomos has a back room, but you can't reserve it ,first come first served. Have better selection of food, but only serve beer and wine. If you want seedy I can have them turn down the lights. Then of course there is always the End Zone, they have food but you'll be dealing with alot of younger people. Give me some feedback that was just some options.

What do you think everyone?  I am all for meeting on Friday night or for food on Saturday before the reunion.  I guess it sounds like John is "the man" when it comes to knowing where to go :)  Whatever you think is fine with me - I'll be there!!

I'm all for meeting before the reunion--and I agree with Kathleen--it sounds like John is the man who knows where to go :)

I agree... When and where John...  I'll be there!
