Bob Johnson

It hasn't been to long since I last visited this site, and today I was really surprised (and saddened) to learn of other classmates who have already made the transition into the afterlife. It feels like the flame went out too early, but this is not the way life works. So for those of us who are still here, let us try to always be conscious of the present moment, for it is the only one that we will ever have, (or have ever had). If you are reading this, (and we have crossed each other's path) I want to thank you for touching my heart in the way you did. I have some of my strongest memories from times that maybe didn't turn out the way I might have liked them to have, so you may not even be aware of what you meant to me. I guess this is my way of telling you now... so many years later, while I still can.

This is my wish for you: Comfort on difficult days, smiles when sadness intrudes, rainbows to follow the clouds, laughter to kiss your lips, sunsets to warm your heart, hugs when spirits sag, beauty for your eyes to see, friendships to brighten your Being, Faith so that you can believe, confidence for when you doubt, courage to know yourself, patience to accept the Truth, Love to complete your life. Everyone of us has been blessed with this life, for which we sometimes take for granted. Death is a powerful reminder, of a life that is so very short. I think it was Dr Suess who said it best, "“Life is short, don't waste time worrying about what people think of you. Hold on to the ones that care, in the end they will be the only ones there.”
