When Eric Jonathan Bird was born in 1952, in Salt Lake City, Salt Lake, Utah, United States, his father, Lawrence William Bird, was 31 and his mother, Bette Jeanne McDowell, was 28. He died on 1 September 2023, in Boise, Idaho, United States, at the age of 71.

I tried to locate Eric Bird because I had lost contact with him. I found out he had passed away in Boise Idaho on August 31, 2023. I wanted to pay a tribute to him on this Olympus Page. Eric Bird brought joy to everyone around him. As my cheerleading partner, we were a part of an eight person team and Eric was the spark of our group. He had this incredible ability to keep us laughing in everything that we'd do. As a partner, he was someone I always trusted completely when he would throw me in the air, I knew he would always catch me. He was the life of the party.
