William "Bill" Just

William "Bill" Just, 78, of Hopkins, MN, died on April 4, 2025.

Bill graduated from Hopkins High School in 1964 and went on to attend Minneapolis Vo. Tech Cooking School. Bill was a marvelous cook and worked as a professional chef for 45 years at restaurants such as The Camelot, Peters Grill, Minikahda Club, and Minneapolis Club. Most of all, Bill enjoyed cooking at home. From pizza burgers for poker parties, to fabulous gourmet dinners for friends and family, to making the best gravy ever for holiday gatherings, Bill did it all. Outside of the kitchen, Bill was also a very accomplished athlete who excelled at bowling, softball, tennis, and golf.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, Robert Just and James Odden. Bill is survived by his wife, Ruth; daughter, Tracy; brother, Bruce (Marlys) Just; sister-in-law, Kathy Thies; seven nieces; several great-nieces and nephews; and many close life-long friends.

A memorial gathering will be held on Thursday, April 10, from 5 to 8 PM, at Hopkins VFW, 100 Shady Oak Rd., Hopkins, MN 55343. Our Bill gave so much to this world, so please join us to thank him for all he did for us and send him to his next adventure.
